Good morning and welcome to this meditation.
To set the tone for your day.
Congratulate yourself for starting the day.
By taking a moment for yourself.
Before the busyness sets in.
Before the day runs away with you.
Welcome yourself to your space.
Close your eyes if they're not closed already.
And just breathe and be here.
This practice is so simple,
It's easy to overlook.
Choose unconsciously how you want to feel today.
Before the day chooses for you.
Most days,
We step into the current and let it take us wherever.
And we react,
And we respond,
And we manage.
And by evening,
We wonder why we feel so spent.
But here is another way.
Take a breath and ask yourself.
How do I want to feel today?
This is not your to-do list and not what you want to achieve.
Know what needs to happen.
But how do you want to feel?
Perhaps it is calm.
Clear.
Energize.
Present.
Creative.
Grounded.
Connected.
Joyful.
Whatever is true for you right now.
Let it rise to the surface.
Hold that feeling in your chest for a moment and let it be real.
Because your day begins right now.
This is your intention for the day.
It's not a goal or an objective.
It's a feeling.
Fix the tone you're setting.
With yourself,
For yourself.
So,
Take a long,
Slow breath and feel that feeling.
Breathe it all the way in.
Let it fill up.
Your chest space.
Fill every cell in your body as you breathe.
Let it fill your energetic space around you.
Let it settle into your body.
Carry it with you because you have decided.
And so it will be.
You've set the tone.
And now the rest of your day can begin.
