Relax and rest.
A gentle breath work practice.
The practice will guide listeners through gentle breath awareness to reduce stress and ground body and mind.
Hello and welcome to this gentle breath work practice which will help to anchor you into relaxation.
This practice invites you to slow down,
Soften and reconnect with your breath,
Your natural rhythm of life.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down and allow your eyes to gently close or hold a soft gaze.
Bring awareness to the body's connection to the floor or chair.
Feel the weight of your body supported,
Let your shoulders drop,
Your jaw soften,
Your hands rest on your lap.
You don't have to do anything,
Simply arrive here and now.
We are going to practice a relaxing breath pattern by breathing in slowly through the nose for a count of four,
Letting the belly swell out and breathing out for a count of six and the belly subsides.
Let's begin.
Five,
Six.
Continue at your own pace,
Letting each breath soften your body and steady your mind.
Now let go of the counting and shift to natural breathing.
Invite awareness of calm spreading through the body.
Let the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Notice how the body feels.
Does it feel a little softer,
Perhaps lighter?
This calm is always within reach,
Waiting in your breath.
As you move into the rest of your day,
Carry this sense of ease with you.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me.
Namaste.
