Welcome to this meditation on taking time to savor the sense of victory somewhere in your life.
And for this meditation,
I invite you to find a quiet space,
A place where you can rest,
A place where you can take time from your life to give back to yourself in practice.
And perhaps when you find that space,
You settle in with a few deep inhale and exhale cycles,
Allowing the shoulders to drop,
The hips to be heavy,
And give yourself full permission to take this time for you.
And as you become more relaxed,
Invite the mind to pull up an image,
A memory of something that was a victory to you.
To you in your life.
This is not a victory that you did for someone else,
But a victory with intrinsic and deep meaning to you.
Perhaps it was the first day at a new job.
Perhaps it was a conversation that deepened a relationship.
Perhaps it was letting go of something that did not bring you joy.
Allow the image,
The energy,
The moment of your victory to float into your awareness and continue allowing the body to rest as that image begins to sparkle.
What is it in that moment of victory that has the strongest sense,
The deepest feeling to you?
Pride,
Joy,
Happiness,
Completion?
Can you invite that sense from your victory into the heart space to rest and to shine?
And perhaps that moment has a color.
If you look closely,
What color was that victory?
It might be gold,
Silver,
Or brown.
It might be white,
Yellow.
Green.
Whatever color arises as you consider this moment of bliss,
Allow that color to begin to fill the heart space as you rest.
We often neglect giving ourselves time and permission to really relish victories,
Large and small,
In favor of keeping ourselves small or staying busy.
But when we tune in to the moment of our lives that bring us the most pleasure,
We can begin to expand those moments to be the moments that mean the most.
So as you rest,
Allow the memory,
The sensations,
And the color of that moment of victory to grow from your heart space with each inhale and watch with pure pleasure as it begins to expand into the rest of your body,
Each inhale,
Each exhale,
Creating a sense of joy that you captured in that moment of victory.
Rest here for the next minute of your practice,
Luxuriating in all of the positive emotion that this moment of victory wants to share with you,
Staying in touch with the glow created by the memory of this moment of victory.
Begin to deepen the inhale,
Slow down the exhale,
And flutter the eyes open back into your practice space and carry the energy of the victorious soul that you are.
Into the rest of your day.
