Hi friends,
It's Beth.
Welcome to your 6-minute evening anxiety release meditation practice.
At the end of each day,
We are gifted with a place to pause and consider the moments in our day when we were able to create space for ourselves to be more present,
Even though anxiety mentally steals our present from us.
Our practice today was to tune in to the beautiful flow of our breath as we sat in the middle of those moments of discomfort.
This is not easy,
Especially if we are used to allowing our minds to take us in wild directions fueled by fear.
But creating space between the cause of and our reaction to our anxiety is what will help us find our way,
Little by little,
Into a space of healing and peace.
Investing deeply in your current space,
Give yourself permission to relax and recall moments over the course of your day when anxiety was present.
What created the tension in that moment?
Was it a person?
Was it a situation?
Was it a thought,
Or a memory,
Or an observation?
Did you allow yourself to feel the tension,
Or did you ignore it?
We all have different anxiety points,
And we all have different ways of coping.
None is better than the other.
But objective observation is the first step in understanding our anxieties so that we can bring healing to them.
For the next minute of your practice,
Tune into the flow of your breath as you allow moments of anxiety that you experienced today to float to the surface of your consciousness.
For observation and release,
The key to becoming more present in our lives is to allow ourselves to fully feel and experience all of our emotions,
And the lessons that our emotions have to teach us.
Anxiety steals our love and enjoyment of the present,
But when we begin to notice this,
We realize that we have the power to tune into the breath until that moment of anxiety floats by.
Take this healing awareness into your restful and peaceful sleep tonight.
