Hello and welcome.
My name is Bailey,
And I'm a nurse practitioner turned Reiki master teacher,
Sound healer,
And yoga teacher.
And I help people who are struggling with stress and anxiety and overwhelm restore balance to their body,
Mind,
And spirit.
In our session today,
I'm going to be guiding you through a gentle self-Reiki practice and showing you some hand positions that you can use in your practice today.
So I invite you to find a comfortable place.
To relax and receive.
Maybe your bed or your yoga space.
Or your sofa,
Just finding a place that's comfortable.
Where you can really relax.
Reiki helps us switch from the fight,
Flight,
Or freeze side of the nervous system into the rest,
Digest,
And restore side of our nervous system.
Finding a place where you can really relax.
Is ideal,
But you will also receive many benefits.
Even if you are in a place that you're not able to fully relax.
So once you're all settled in,
I invite you to gently close down your eyes.
Starting to bring your awareness inwards.
And if you have already been attuned to Reiki,
I invite you to activate your Reiki in whatever way you practice normally,
Through your intention,
Through your symbols,
Whatever way you practice.
Is perfect for you.
And if you haven't already been attuned to Reiki,
I'm going to begin sending you distance Reiki now.
And I invite you to visualize with me as we move our hands to the different positions that there is a beautiful stream of white light flowing through your hands and into the place in which they are resting.
And before we begin.

I invite you to also set your intention for our practice today.
This offers the energy a simple guide to bring you whatever you need help with most.
Reiki is always bringing us whatever is in our highest good.
But giving an intention is that much more powerful.
And now that you've set your intention,
I invite you to bring your awareness to your heart space.
Taking a nice,
Deep inhale.
In through your heart space as if you were breathing in through this space.
And gently exhaling,
Softening and relaxing the heart space.
And again,
Breathing in as if you were breathing in through your heart.
And gently exhaling,
Softening and letting go.
Now,
Place one hand over your heart space.
And the other on your abdomen just over your belly button.
And this is the first hand position that we'll be using in our practice today.
Just letting the Reiki energy flow through your hands.
Or visualizing.
The light of Reiki flowing into you now.
Helping to restore balance.
And your body.
Mind.
And spirit.
Helping to bring peace.
And calm.
To you now.
And now you can gently move both of your hands to your lower abdomen.
Just resting them there gently.
And again visualizing the white light of Reiki.
Flowing down from your palms.
Into your lower abdomen.
Helping to restore.
Balance and harmony.
And now,
Gently move both of your hands over your heart space.
Feeling the energy flow to this space.
Visualizing the light of Reiki.
That beautiful white light.
Flowing down from your hands.
Into your heart space.
Hoping to soften.
And open your heart.
Bringing any healing that is needed.
Or your highest good.
And now.
Take both of your hands and gently rest them on the sides of your neck just above your shoulders.
Feeling the energy flow.
Visualizing that white light of Reiki.
Flowing in and around.
You're not.
The vertebrae here.
Your throat.
Helping to soften and release any tension.
That we often hold in our neck and upper shoulders.
Maybe you feel that tension start to melt away.
And now.
Start to bring.
Your awareness back to your breath.
You can place your hands on your abdomen or by your sides.
Gently breathing in.
A deep grounding breath.
And a long,
Slow exhale.
Letting your breath guide you back into your physical body.
Your physical surroundings.
And when you're ready You can gently open your eyes.
Coming back into your space.
Maybe having a nice yawn or stretch.
As you bring some movement back into the body.

These are just a few of the hand positions that you can use during a self Reiki practice.
If you feel called to put your hands anywhere that are not listed in this practice or not guided in this practice.
That is perfectly fine.
I always encourage you to trust your intuition.
Your body and your spirit are both very wise,
And they are always communicating with you and helping to guide you.
Into what is in your highest good.
So if you feel called to put your hand on your shoulder or your elbow or wherever it feels called to go during your Reiki practice,
I encourage you to follow your intuition and that inner guidance.
