Saging Our Minds Saging Our Inner Space This new meditation is for clearing out all of the old conversations that are echoing in our minds,
All of the regrets that are bouncing off the walls into our minds,
The pressure behind the eyes of trying to figure it all out.
So I invite you now to set the intention that you are ready to do a deep clean of your mind,
Similar to when you're cleaning your house with incense or airing it out,
Opening the doors.
Keep this in your consciousness now,
That you are ready to do this inner cleansing.
And I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
Please don't do this while driving.
And start to get yourself into a receptive state.
By being receptive,
It means that your body is more relaxed.
So when your body is relaxed,
Your mind can be more relaxed.
And therefore open to accepting these suggestions.
So closing your eyes,
Just starting to nod your head back and forth,
Ever so gently,
Feeling the weight of your head go back and dropping your chin slightly so your head moves forward.
Like a slight nodding of your head,
Yes.
Just taking inventory of the weight of your head,
Of how much your neck and shoulders carry for you.
And then gently bringing your head back to stillness,
Rolling your shoulders backwards.
Small circles.
Rolling your shoulders forward,
Small circles.
And now begin to come into concentration of your breath.
You don't need to change the breath.
Just notice how deep you can let the breath go into the stomach,
Into the chest.
And how nice it feels to exhale.
Now I invite you to add in the statement,
I am ready.
When you inhale and when you exhale to release.
Inhale,
I am ready.
Exhaling to release.
I'd like you to bring your attention now to the top of your head,
Gently allowing the scalp to relax,
Allowing the back of your head to relax,
The muscles in your forehead,
Behind your eyes,
Behind your cheeks,
In your face,
The tightness in the jaw,
Bringing your tongue to a rested place,
Like behind your two front teeth.
Feel your chin relax.
Your chin may even drop towards your neck,
And you feel the back of your head lengthen.
Now I would like you to just pretend that you could bring in one of those sage wands into the inside of your head.
You might not be able to picture it,
But just keep bringing your mind back to picturing a sage wand lit.
And it's cleansing the back of your forehead so you feel all of those creases of concern soften.
Try to feel your head from the inside.
Imagine the smoke clearing out the tension on the sides of your temples,
On the left side of your eye,
On the left side of your face,
All the way down towards your jaw.
It's safe for you to release.
It's safe for you to let go of all of those old conversations.
You have learned enough from them,
And you're ready now to live with more ease.
Allow your exhales to encourage this release.
And imagine that sage wand clearing out the back of the head,
Feeling your skull from the inside out,
Right where your neck meets your head.
Imagine that clearing out.
Imagine those muscles softening,
Also allowing your shoulders to drop.
And then imagine that sage wand clearing out the right side of your face,
All the way from your temples to the right side of your eye,
Down your cheeks,
All the way down towards your jaw,
Towards your chin.
And feeling that spaciousness now that you've created.
Imagining with the exhale you could just blow out all of that excess weight that you've been holding onto as pressure.
What you were nervous about,
Just let it all disintegrate now as the sage clears out that negative energy,
That nervous energy,
The tightness in your jaw that held you back from saying things that could have been inappropriate.
Let it all go.
Feel your face soften.
Let it fall into its natural form,
Completely uninhibited of how your face might look.
Even letting your mouth open,
Imagining that sage could clear out behind even your nose,
The center of your face,
All the way through your mouth.
Clearing out old,
Stuck energy,
All the lives that you've scrolled by,
All the things that you've compared yourself to,
Just imagine all of those perceptions leaving you.
Return to your life now.
Return to your light.
Return to your light.
Imagine now that this glow emanates from between your eyes and your forehead,
Your light of divinity,
Your light of your own spirit and energy glowing.
Glowing now to spark your own intuition,
Your own path,
And your own purpose.
As I count from one to five,
You'll feel this whole process integrate and reinvigorate your entire being.
One,
Feel that relief in all of the muscles in your face.
Two,
Feeling as though you just got a wonderful facial.
Three,
Bringing a slight smile to your mouth,
Feeling the edges of your eyes relaxed.
Four,
Feeling so grateful that you can finally be you again.
And five,
Whenever you're ready,
Gently opening up your eyes,
Dusting yourself off,
Welcoming yourself back.
