When you practice Tantra,

You are in a state of trance that can be compared to using mindfulness and presence.

The beauty of Tantra is allowing yourself to notice the details of every sensation and indulge in the pleasure it brings to your senses.

The scent of your partner,

The silky salivation in your mouth,

The softness of the pillow.

All of these details have the ability to glorify your experience.

So the most important foundation for experiencing Tantra is being focused.

I'm going to share a way to bring all of your energy and attention into your body to prepare you for Tantra and heighten all of your sensations.

For this practice,

You will need to be in a comfortable place and not driving.

Bring your focus inside where you exist as you.

You are enough in this moment and you are enough in this next moment.

Breathe into the space within you.

Start to imagine you could breathe in through your entire head,

Bringing all the focus to your skull.

And just pretend you could breathe in through your head,

The air moving in to the center of your skull and exhaling out everything else that can wait.

This is your time to exist as you inhaling in through your skull,

Exhaling out the tension,

The heaviness.

The heaviness inhaling in,

Imagining that you could even breathe in through your cheeks,

Through your jaw.

Just pretend inhaling in the lightness,

Exhaling out,

Feeling your face soften with this release.

Now moving down to your chin and your jaw,

Inhaling in as if you could have nostrils on this part of your body,

The bottom of your chin,

Inhaling in,

Exhaling out the relief.

Moving to your neck,

Inhaling in the softness through the skin of your neck,

Exhaling out all of the tension,

Inhaling in the softness,

All of the fascia that surrounds your muscles in your neck,

Letting them release,

Exhaling out anything that does not feel good,

Feeling your neck relax now,

Feeling the muscles soften in your neck as you focus your breathing to that area.

You're doing good,

Just remember you can't get it wrong,

Keep bringing your attention back to the area of your body that we're focusing on.

Next,

Moving down to the chest,

Inhaling in through the chest as if there was nostrils on your chest,

Breathing in the gentle grace,

Exhaling out all of the harshness,

Inhaling in,

Inhaling in,

Expanding through the chest,

Nice juicy inhale,

Exhale,

Release out even through the back of the chest,

All of the pain,

Release it out,

Just imagine it floating out of your body.

Now we'll move to your shoulders and your arms,

Inhaling in through both of your arms,

The tops of the shoulders,

Moving your shoulders up towards your ears as you take a big inhale in,

Exhale,

Let your shoulders drop,

Feeling the exhale go all the way,

Imagining it leaving out through your fingertips,

Inhale in,

Bringing in your shoulders up to your ears,

Exhaling out all of the pain,

All of the hard work,

Letting it release,

Imagine it leaving your arms and shoulders like a mist and feeling that relief of relaxation running through every muscle and bone and fiber in your shoulders and arms.

And now moving down towards your lower ribs and your stomach,

Inhaling in,

So you feel the sides of your ribs expand,

Inhaling in,

So you feel your stomach expand,

Keep breathing in and exhale out all of the discomfort,

Inhale in,

Again imagining you had nostrils in this part of your body and you can inhale in all of the pleasure you want to experience and exhale out anything else that would block you,

You don't have to name it,

Just exhale it out.

Inhaling in,

The peace,

Power of your attention,

Makes a nice big inhale,

Feeling your ribs expand,

And exhale out any discomfort,

Exhale and moving down to your hips,

The seat of your pleasure,

Inhale into this part of your body as if you could breathe in through the skin,

Through the layers of the fascia,

All of the juicy muscles,

Inhale in,

The victorious sense of pleasure,

Exhale out anything from the past that would hold you back,

Inhale in the sense of pleasure to your hips,

Forgiveness,

Inhale it in,

Imagining you could breathe in through this part of your body,

Keep sipping in the inhale,

And exhale out through the hips,

Inhaling in that pleasure,

The sense of presence,

Focusing all of your attention to your hips with this nice inhale in,

Exhaling out any resentments,

Just let them go,

Like the mist coming off of the ocean,

Dissipating it all out,

Once again inhale in that soothing relief of your attention,

Your permission to experience pleasure,

And exhale out any doubts,

Anything that would block you from receiving the beautiful sensation of freedom,

One more time inhaling in through all sides of the hips,

The front,

The back,

The sides of your body,

Inhale in,

A beautiful experience,

Allowing that into your body,

And exhaling out the heaviness,

Whatever it is you don't want to be held there anymore,

Just imagine you're letting it go,

Exhaling out,

Beautiful,

And let us now move down to your upper legs,

Your thighs,

Inhaling in what you want more of,

Grounding you to this present moment,

The sweetness of being in your body,

And exhale out anything else you don't want right now,

Exhale,

And again inhale in as if you could breathe into all of the muscles of your thighs,

This round juiciness of all of the muscles that work so hard for you,

Inhale in all of that relief,

Your inner thighs,

Your outer thighs,

All the way into the meat of the muscles,

Inhale in deeply,

Just imagine it travels all the way to the center of your thighs,

And exhale out any tension,

Feeling all of your muscles in your thighs soften,

Relax,

Surrender to what's beneath you,

Feeling that welcome heaviness,

And again inhale in to your thighs,

Through your skin,

Welcoming in this fresh sensation,

Exhale out whatever doesn't feel good,

Again you don't have to name it,

Just exhale it out,

It moves out of your legs into the ether,

Grounding,

Preparing you for a deeper sense of pleasure,

Now that you're so tuned in with your body,

And we'll move down to our lower legs,

Your calves,

All the way down to your feet,

Imagining you inhale in through your legs now,

This lower part of your legs,

The more slender part of your legs,

Inhaling in through the bones,

Through those dense muscles,

That walk and support you all day,

And finally get a break now,

Exhaling out all of that hard work they've done for you,

It's their time to be held now,

Caressed with this gentle breath,

Imagining again it inhales in through your calves,

Through your lower legs,

Inhale in,

And exhale out,

Feeling your calves,

Your muscles just relax,

Releasing anything they may have held onto with another inhale in,

Inviting in the awareness into your legs,

And exhaling out,

Exhale,

Now we move to your toes,

Bottoms of the feet,

Which represent all of the parts of your body,

And your feet,

Imagine you can breathe in through your feet like the roots of the tree,

Connecting you to exactly where you are,

Inhaling in that sense of being in your divine presence,

Divinely representing yourself exactly where you are,

As you are,

And allowing yourself all of the sensations this body has to offer you in this physical world,

Inhaling in through the bottoms of your feet,

As if you can breathe up the nourishment of the earth,

And exhale out any heaviness,

Exhale,

Exhale more,

Exhaling out the fears of fully being you,

And inhaling your complete essence,

Just like a tree gathers up its nutrients,

Gather up your nutrients from the bottom of the feet,

Sending that medicine of your breath all the way through each toe,

Exhaling out any type of negativity that feels like it's still in there,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Let's inhale with our entire bodies,

Inhaling in through every cell,

Enlivening every part of you,

Now inhaling into your deepest organs,

Through the densest fibers,

Through all the fluids,

Inhale in this fresh experience,

Exhale out through the body,

Pushing out any heaviness or darkness,

Inhaling in this sense of lightness,

Inhaling in this power into your body,

And exhale out,

Bringing your hands together,

Noticing now how it feels to touch the pads of your fingers together,

Every sensation you experience now will bring you a more profound sense of belonging and joy in your body,

Please continue with this sense of mindfulness into your next journey,

Or portal,

Wherever you decide to go,

Bring all of you.

A sensual breathing body scan. Found certain body parts more challenging to breathe into than others. For instance, the upper half of my body seemed easier, whereas I had a more difficult time connecting to my lower extremities.
