Hello,
My name is Samantha Archibald of Sai Yoga.
Thank you for joining me.
So let's come into a comfortable seat with our eyes closed.
Let's take a nice deep breath in,
And then exhale it out completely.
Allow the breath to slow down and create a rhythm of long inhales and complete exhales.
Now open up the palms to face the sky.
Feel the air running along the fingers as you open yourself to the unknown.
Notice as the torso sits heavily into the hips and take a moment to lift the crown of the head and feel the weight pull away a little bit from the sit bones as we lengthen the spine and grow lighter.
The channel of energy then runs through the spine into the nervous system,
Which receives and feeds information in the form of blood to oxygen to the body so that it keeps it functioning.
And we want to keep that center,
That channel,
Lengthening and clear.
It is also the home of our nadis.
Our nadis are pathways of energy that runs left and right of our body.
This energy is something that you can't see similar to the Chinese philosophy of the qi.
Yet in some ways you do see it because you can see the reactions,
The amount of energy given out through your body.
So when our nadis,
When they are blocked,
We are not functioning to our total capacity.
And we want to keep our nadis clear,
Our system clear,
So our energy is flowing.
And a lot happens in our day to day life that creates blockage and slows down our energy.
But taking the time to sit quietly and coming back to your center allows you to recharge,
Realign and reset.
And sometimes that is all we need to do.
So we are not wrapped up in negativity and stress.
Instead,
We give ourselves the time to pause and be.
Allowing our energy to recharge and just stepping back,
Quieting down,
Re-centering gives you the power,
The courage,
The focus,
The will,
The drive to step forward.
So we quiet ourselves.
And we take this time to put aside what has never changed in our life.
And take a moment to greet those thoughts To put aside what happens outside of us and go inwards.
Clearing out our system and allowing our breath to flow through the body.
To release any blockages,
Any tension.
So that the nervous system flows.
And the signal that everything will be fine.
Flowing will be what it needs to be.
Allowing the muscles to relax.
And in doing so,
Recharge.
Giving it the strength,
The ability to take action and to move forward.
So that stillness we create here is not passive.
It is proactive.
It gives us the ability to reconnect to our source.
So the palms are open.
The air runs through our fingers.
And we allow ourselves to open up.
To open up to clarity.
Open up to our hearts.
And by opening up to our hearts,
It isn't a sign of weakness,
But a sign of courage.
A sign of faith.
It is the ability to step forward.
Even when we don't know what lies ahead.
But with clarity of mind,
Flow of energy,
And the strength from within,
You are ready to take whatever step is needed to move forward.
And that's all we can do is move forward.
And regardless of the best set plans,
The only thing that we do know is the present moment.
So we want to be in this present moment.
With our hearts open,
Our energy channels clear.
And we're ready.
Ready for what's next.
So stepping into this present moment here,
Here's where we recharge,
We re-energize,
We re-center,
We reset ourselves.
And give us the ability to step forward.
But sometimes instead of stepping forward,
We get stuck in the noise of the mind.
And we're not able to see the clarity of our heart.
And when the light is dim,
And we feel that we don't have the energy,
We feel heavy,
And we can't see our way forward.
That's when it's the time to come to our seat,
To close our eyes,
To slow down the breath,
Open up the palms,
Remembering to feel the air run through the fingers.
Allow the energy to charge through.
Lighten yourself by lifting your spirit,
Your soul,
By going inwards.
And we move from a place of the heart instead of a place of the mind.
And when we move from a place of the heart,
We see the light.
Even if the light is dim,
We see it.
And we move away from the place of the mind where things are dark and negative.
So realize this moment as we quiet the self.
Let the palms open and the energy flowing,
Allow your heart to charge the entire nervous system,
Allowing the nadis to flow with no blockage.
Bringing that energy through the chest,
Into the arms,
Into the neck,
Into the back,
Into the hips,
Down the legs and back into the crown of the head,
Lighting it up,
Warming you and keeping you steady so that you are ready,
Energized,
Settled,
And you don't have to be uncertain on what's next.
You just have to be ready with a clear mind and a hoping heart.
So open your heart,
Allow yourself to be ready for what's next.
Open your heart,
Allow yourself to be ready for what's next.
Open your heart,
Allow yourself to be ready for what's next.
Open your heart,
Allow yourself to be ready for what's next.
Open your heart,
Allow yourself to be ready for what's next.
Now gently,
Gently,
Gently,
Gently,
Gently,
Gently.
Gently take the palms and turn them down,
Pressing them into your thigh.
As you drop your chin down,
Round the back and hollow out the armpits,
Everything curls in.
Then reverse by gently pulling the chest forward and lifting the chin up as you arch the back.
The palms are still facing down.
Then slowly come back to a neutral position with the spine,
Keeping the lift.
And the palms are still down.
The eyes are still closed.
And your focus is entirely inwards.
Stay here longer if you can,
If you like.
And when you're ready,
Bring your palms to your heart.
Allow that connection to happen as you open your eyes,
Knowing,
You knowing that you are prepared,
That you are ready for what's next.
Have a wonderful day and namaste.
