Hello and welcome to the session,
I invite you to take a seat or lie down and get yourself comfortable,
You can close down the eyes if you wish and just begin by slowing down the breath,
In through the nose,
Low into the belly and slow,
Just taking a moment to scan the body and the mind space,
Just releasing any surface level tensions that may be arising,
When you're ready gently placing a hand upon the heart space,
Feeling the warmth,
Appreciating the simple self-soothing touch,
This one act can be performed almost anywhere,
And although it's quite small and simple,
It can be profoundly settling and calming,
If at any time during this session you find your mind wandering,
Distracted,
Lost in thought,
Just return back to the simple sensation of the hand upon the heart space,
And when you're ready,
Visualize your heart space as a glowing ball of energy,
Or a light,
Or a flame,
In whatever color or style manifests for you,
And with the breath visualize it growing stronger and brighter,
As we embody,
Embrace and become the heart space,
With the breath,
The heart space grows stronger and brighter,
As we embody,
Embrace and become the heart space,
And if you can,
When you're ready,
Dropping the seat of consciousness into the heart space,
Begin witnessing from the heart space,
The heart space,
This place we're working with,
It's our highest self,
The part that is connected to the divine,
Or it's the witness,
This part of us is pure,
Untaintable,
And uncorruptible,
So in this session we're going to explore something called transmutation,
Or transformation of heavy emotions into love and compassion,
The heart space is such that anything that comes in contact with it,
Cannot help but be transformed,
Unlike other visualizations that we may have explored in the past,
Where we push things away,
We block them off,
We try and add positivity to counteract the negativity,
In this one,
We're going to breathe it all in,
Breathe it into the heart space,
And allow that pure,
Untaintable energy,
To transform it and release it into the world as love,
If this feels unattainable for you,
Or if it feels like it's slipping away,
All you need to do is just connect to the heart space,
That's the entirety of the practice for today,
But if,
If you feel capable and grounded in the heart space,
Let's try this,
Visualizing the heart space as a glowing ball of energy,
Or light,
Or flame,
Just taking stock of the heavy emotions arising in the body,
Anger,
Jealousy,
Fear,
Whatever's arising for you,
And when you notice something,
Breathe it into the heart space,
Almost like you're feeding it to the flame,
And when you release,
Transforming those feelings into love,
To compassion,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transform into compassion,
When you notice things arising,
Challenging thoughts,
Moods or emotions or memories,
Breathe it into the heart space,
And allow it to transform,
To transmute all of those feelings into love and compassion,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transform into love and compassion,
The heart space,
This place we're working with,
Is our highest self,
A part that is connected to the divine,
To the universe,
Whatever space or place we draw our power from,
It is uncorruptible,
Untaintable,
And anything that comes in contact with it cannot help but be transformed,
So in this way,
If we breathe it into the heart space,
We're actively transforming our inner space,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transform into compassion,
Taking a moment to scan the body,
And to scan the mind,
And as you notice emotions,
Thoughts and feelings arise,
Breathe them in,
And allow the ball of energy,
The flame,
The light,
To transform them,
Breathing out love and compassion,
This is an act of pure radical self acceptance,
It's easy to connect with the good parts of ourselves,
Less so the bad,
The ugly,
The unknown,
And the changing,
But with this approach,
We are reintegrating,
We are bringing it in,
Accepting it all,
Making contact with it,
With the heart space,
With the self,
With the part of us that is connected to something more,
And returning it,
As love and compassion,
Indeed when we go out into the world,
We notice moments of intensity,
Of heavy emotion,
Directed at others,
Or directed at us,
We can nonetheless practice this as a form of acceptance,
Settling into the heart space,
Into the self,
Grounding ourselves in that space,
That untaintable,
Uncorruptible centre,
Just breathe it in,
And release love and compassion,
And in this way,
We are manipulating or changing how we respond in that situation,
Rather than responding with similar energy,
And compounding the situation,
This practice will help us to respond with love,
Compassion,
Understanding,
And acceptance,
Not acceptance in the kind where you necessarily lack what is happening,
But acceptance of reality,
As it is,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transform into compassion,
And if you like,
And if you are grounded enough in the heart space,
You can extend this practice outward,
To your family,
Community,
Country,
The world or the universe,
Breathing in all negativity,
All heavy emotion,
Into the heart space,
Into this untaintable,
Uncorruptible part that is connected,
Connected to the divine,
Connected to something more,
A space inside that anything that comes in contact with it,
Cannot help but be transformed,
Transmuted into love,
Compassion,
And breathe it in,
And release love,
With each breath,
Subtly shifting the state we find ourselves in,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transformed into love and compassion,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transformed into love and compassion,
Through my highest self,
Heavy emotions transformed into love and compassion,
Through every visualization you do,
You can choose to continue with,
To leave on,
So to speak,
You can choose to release,
I'll leave that up to you,
But this practice is one that is challenging,
But profoundly transformative,
If you can find this space within that is connected,
The self,
The heart space,
The witness,
Goes by a lot of different names,
But if you can find that space within,
It is such that anything that comes in contact with it cannot help but be transformed,
So as you sit in that space,
You may discover thoughts or feelings or other things arising,
And rather than pushing it away,
Rejecting it,
Blocking it off,
You invite it in fully,
Into that space,
And allow it to transform it,
This is a subtle practice that can take time,
But one that can be deeply healing,
And of course you can extend this into your day and into your world,
Whether or not you believe in the more spiritual or woowoo side of things,
Where your thoughts and feelings impact the external world,
At the very least it definitely impacts your internal world,
So if you are able to transform the energy that is coming to you,
And offer back love and compassion in your day,
Regardless of your spiritual beliefs,
That will impact how you are impacting upon the world,
And therefore positively change it,
Small,
Subtle,
But continual and true,

Today we practiced a heart space transmutation,
Settle into the heart space,
Connect to it,

This space or place that is untaintable,
Pure,
Uncorruptible,
Part that is connected to the divine or highest self,
Goes by a lot of different names,
A lot of different traditions and practices,
But from that space,
You transform all heavy emotions,
Into compassion and love,
You can use this as a solely internal practice,
Sensations in the body,
Thoughts in the mind,
You bring it in,
Into the heart space,
Breathing it in,
Holding it,
Releasing it as love and compassion,
This is an act of deep radical self acceptance,
You can also extend this practice outwards into your world and into your day,
Regardless of if you believe it's impacting the external world directly,
If you respond to negativity,
To heavy emotions with compassion and love,
Your responses will be different,
And you will be impacting and interacting with the world in a more loving and compassionate way,
So either way,
This practice is transformative,
As with all visualizations and internal practices,
It's your choice as to whether or not you keep it going,
You can leave these visualizations on,
So to speak,
As you go through the day,
You maintain the connection to the heart space,
As you notice things arising,
You breathe it in,
Into that space,
And release love and compassion,
It's an option,
Or you can choose to generally end practice,
I'll leave that up to you,
