Hello and welcome to the session.
Today we're going to be looking at finding,
Identifying and releasing the spiritual and bodily blocks that we find within ourselves.
This process will be one of introspection,
Of breath work,
And of healing visualization.
I invite you to take a seat or lay down and get yourself comfortable.
You can close down the eyes if you wish and take a deep slow breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Whilst continuing to breathe slower,
Just notice the entirety of your body and invite it to relax.
Unclench the jaw,
Drop the shoulders,
Release the belly.
With every breath,
You fall into a state of more and more peace and calm and relaxation.
You're still breathing slowly.
Turn the lens of your attention to your body.
You're looking with your mind's eye for a point of blockage,
Or tension,
Or restriction,
Or disintegration,
Or over attachment.
This might be arising as a physical sensation or a word,
Or for a lot of people,
A visualization.
An image that just appears on,
Around,
Or as that point of tension,
Restriction,
Or blockage.
This may appear quite strong or it might be quite subtle but it will be there.
And when you discover it,
Don't try and change it,
Or push it away,
Or run from it.
Continue the slow,
Calm breathing and just invite that space inside you to speak,
To open,
Invite it to release,
Invite it to share.
If appropriate,
Even thank that space.
Thank that space for holding on and for being there for you.
And continue to breathe slowly and calmly and deeply into that space.
And deeply into that space,
Start to imagine some beautiful,
Healing,
Lovely,
Comforting energy.
This might be in the form of a visualization of a particular color or a ray of light.
But as you breathe,
Breathe that in,
All the way in to that space.
With every in-breath,
It's healing,
It's being accepted,
It's being integrated.
With every out-breath,
You're allowing it to release,
If it wants to.
Breathing in,
Healing.
With each out-breath,
Releasing tension.
You're not judging,
You're not expecting,
You're not even hoping,
You're just accepting.
You're accepting that space,
You're accepting the visualization that comes,
You're accepting that part of you,
And you're allowing it to speak.
You're allowing it to be there,
You're allowing it to share.
This part of your body has a lesson,
It has a story.
It holds on to what it's holding on to,
Because it needed to at the time.
Because it needed to at the time.
And it did it for you,
The greater part of you.
And now,
Ever so gently,
Ever so lovingly,
I'm going to invite that part of us to relax,
To let go of the tension,
To release,
To come back to the whole.
If you feel compelled,
You may want to gently place your hands over that part of the body,
Adding some of your body warmth to that part.
Hugging it,
Or giving it a soothing massage.
Just gently physically and spiritually inviting that part of the body that has been holding on to release.
We're not forcing this,
It's just an offering.
That part of your body,
That tension,
That visualization,
That energy,
Might choose to stay for a while,
And that's okay.
It may feel that you're not ready,
It may feel that its job isn't done.
And that,
Too,
Is okay.
Keep breathing slowly,
And invite it to share.
Invite it to share what it's holding with you,
In the form of a visualization,
Or words,
Or memories,
Or a feeling.
Just allow yourself to feel those feelings.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
And just letting them come.
You may laugh,
You might cry,
You may feel feelings from your past.
Just feel them,
And keep returning to the breath,
And the sound of my voice,
And that part of you that has been holding on.
Every time you allow yourself to feel these feelings,
That part will begin to integrate more and more,
Will begin to release,
Will begin to let go,
Because it will know that it can,
That its job is done,
That you've gotten through,
That you've learnt,
That you've survived,
That part of you will feel safe to come back to the whole.
Keep breathing slowly,
Breathing in through the nose,
Love,
And healing,
And connection.
Breathing out,
Tension,
And thank that part of your body.
Thank it for doing what it needed to do to get you to this place.
The block,
The tension,
The energy,
It needed to do that to help you through.
Now you,
As a wiser,
More integrated,
More whole,
More healed person,
Can take back over,
Can reclaim the leadership of your mind,
Your body,
And your soul,
And it can reintegrate all of these different parts,
That were doing all of these different things to get you to this place.
This will be a slow path,
A long journey of discovery and reconnection.
Some of these parts will disappear the moment you find them.
They will know that upon discovery,
You're ready.
Other parts will need more from you.
They may need love,
Or attention,
Or guidance.
They may need the reassurance of a parent to a child,
Helping them through a scary moment.
They may need attention,
Or respect,
Or for you to learn something more before they're ready to release.
Really,
What they need is for you to do the work,
To sit when you have the strength,
In a place of meditation,
Like we are now,
And breathe,
And be open,
Without judgment,
Without filter.
To whatever it is they have to share and say.
Do this daily.
Sit.
Feel.
Think.
Listen.
And invite that part to release.
Thank you,
And I'll see you in the next session.
