Welcome to this guided meditation.
It's time to relax.
It's time to fall asleep.
It's time to drift off into the most peaceful and restful bliss.
So find a comfortable position,
A place where you can fall asleep.
And once you find that place,
Take a few deep breaths to relax your body and mind.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any tension or worries from your day.
All the tension fading away on your exhale.
All the tension,
All the stress dissolves on your exhale.
Focus your attention on your breathing.
Breathe in deeply and slowly,
Feeling the air fill your lungs.
And exhale slowly,
Feeling any stress or tension leave in your body with each breath.
As you breathe in,
As you breathe out,
You start to relax more and more.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
I wonder if you can imagine yourself walking down a peaceful and relaxing staircase.
And each step you take brings you deeper and deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
Imagining yourself walking down a peaceful and relaxing staircase.
Each step you take,
You will each and every step you take down the staircase,
You can feel yourself becoming.
Imagine yourself feeling lighter and more peaceful with each step.
Relaxing more as you feel so relaxed,
Scan your body and start by bringing your attention to the top of your head.
Notice any tension or discomfort there.
Imagine that discomfort or tension melting away each exhale.
That tension melting away as you breathe.
And as you move down your body,
Scan any areas of tension or discomfort.
Perhaps you notice some tightness in your neck or shoulders,
Or maybe your lower back is feeling tense.
Whatever it is,
Take a moment to breathe into that area and imagine it releasing,
Relaxing and letting go.
And as you scan down your body,
Notice any sensations,
Allow them to feel heavy.
Allow your arms,
Hands and fingers to feel more relaxed.
Moving down your hips and legs,
Noticing any tension or discomfort there.
Allowing them to sink deeper into your bed,
Feeling completely supported.
Finally,
Bringing your attention to your feet and toes.
Wiggle your toes just a little bit and then allow them to completely relax.
Your toes relax now.
And in just a moment,
I wonder if you can use that great imagination of yours.
And I wonder if you can imagine yourself sitting in a comfortable chair or a hammock in a peaceful place.
Now,
Imagine yourself sitting in a comfortable chair or hammock in a peaceful place,
Feeling the soft cushions or the gentle sway of the hammock and allow yourself to fully let go.
Allow yourself to fully surrender.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine a warm,
Golden light surrounding you,
Filling you up with peace and relaxation.
Feel this warmth and comfort spread through every part of your body,
Mind and soul,
The top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Allow yourself to fully surrender,
Fully let go.
And all your stress,
All your tension starts to melt away,
Starts to start to dissolve into space,
Knowing you are safe and protected here,
Surrounded by peace and tranquility.
And as you drift off into a deep and restful sleep,
Allow yourself to fully let go,
Sinking to the soft cushion or hammock.
Imagine that you are surrounded by beautiful,
Healing light,
Filling you up with positivity,
Love and joy,
Drifting,
Fading into the most restful,
Peaceful sleep.
