Welcome to this guided breath work meditation.

My name is yogi Brian.

Find your comfortable spot.

Laying down on your back.

You can lay down on a yoga mat,

A blanket.

Make sure you're comfortable.

Body is in a straight line.

Slight bend in the knees.

Palms either facing down or facing up.

And maybe some support behind your head.

And maybe some support behind your knees.

Find your place.

So your body can remain still.

And once you're there.

Awareness to the breath.

And you'll start with your natural breath.

Either in and out through the nose.

Or in and out through the mouth.

Nothing to do or control with this breath.

Your natural breath.

Your natural breath.

Just breathe.

Now place one hand on the belly and one hand on the heart.

So you can feel your breath.

You feel the belly rise and fall.

And you feel your heartbeat.

Coming back to the present moment.

Arriving.

Here.

Now.

Breathing in the moment.

Really feeling that inhale.

And the exhale.

And you'll notice your body starting to relax.

But nothing to do or control.

Not yet,

But in just a moment.

We're going to inhale a four count.

And on the exhale a five count.

So we'll slow the breath down on the exhale.

As we're going to inhale.

And on the exhale.

A five count.

So we'll slow the breath down on the exhale.

This is a grounding breathing technique.

That gets your mind back to the present moment.

That grounds your body into the earth.

Feeling rooted.

Feeling connected in your space.

So exhale all the air out of your body.

Let's start.

Close the mouth,

Inhale through the nose,

Four count.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Exhale out the nose,

Keep the mouth closed.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Inhale.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Exhale.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Five.

Inhale.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Exhale.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Get that going on your own.

You you now come back to your natural breath allow the numbers to fade away notice the body grounded the mind calm now I want you to imagine a cord at the base of your spine and this cord goes straight to the center of the earth this cord is attached at the base of your spine all the way down to the center of the earth and now all the tension in your body send it down through this cord at the base of your spine all your tension all your worries all your frustrations send it down to the center of the earth find it in the body sometimes this tension hides find all that tension and send it down to the center of the earth you you you you you you you you you you you you you you and as the tension leaves the body your body feels lighter and more relaxed I want you to imagine the biggest pair of scissors the biggest pair of scissors you have in your hands and cut this cord at the base of your spine and as you cut the cord that cord falls down down down down to the center of the earth and all your tension all your frustration all your worries are gone you feel lighter calm tranquil at peace fully content in the present moment fully grounded and relaxed and your breath even fills lighter and easier you can remain here as long as you'd like thank you so much for meditating with me today have a great day namaste
