Welcome to your soundbite for gratitude.
When we're feeling low,
Sad,
And depressed,
The best thing that we can do is to remember something that makes us feel grateful for our existence.
So I would like to invite you to take a few seconds and make yourself comfortable.
Closing your eyes gently.
Bringing your awareness to your breath.
Just watching the flow of the air go in through your nostrils,
Filling your chest or your belly,
And out through either your nostrils or your mouth.
We're not going to control the breath.
Just be aware of the next three incoming and outgoing breaths.
As you continue to breathe,
Watching the rhythm of the breath,
Think of three things that you're grateful for.
And if it helps,
Write them down.
And add to this on a regular basis,
Allowing your gratitude diary to become longer as time goes by.
So that when the moments of darkness become overwhelming,
We can look at these and feel a sense of peace.
