When you feel ready,
We're going to come to lie down on the floor.
So if you want to put on any extra layers,
Uh,
Make yourself comfortable.
Now,
Go ahead.
We're coming to rest down.
Making any adjustments to your body so that you can be really comfortable.
And we can really just let go into stillness.
If you need to purposefully relax and soften,
Maybe there are areas of your body,
You know,
You often held tension,
Just checking.
Eyebrows,
Jaw,
Shoulders,
Fingers,
Belly,
Just checking everything is softening,
Sensing the rising and falling of your breath,
Sensing how your body feeling heavier.
This heaviness can take us down to the ground.
Just have to notice your weight,
Your body touching the floor.
And we find grounding.
We find our stability.
We find the earth.
And even if you're in a building that's up off the earth,
It's not going to be much to reach your mind through the building to find the earth,
The earth,
The soil,
The rocks,
Making up the surface of our planet that you're lying on.
This feeling of weight is of course caused by gravity.
Gravity is the effect of our enormous planet.
Thousands and thousands of kilometers of rock beneath your body going down into the center of our planet.
It's almost impossible to imagine how big our planet is beneath your body,
Stretching out all this rock,
The molten rock that makes up the place that we live on.
That's important every now and again to just recognize this.
Wow,
I live on a planet.
I can feel this planet.
Through the gravity,
This planet exists in space.
And as we come to the end of our practice time today,
Let's bring a little bit of movement back to the body.
You might want to start by deepening your breath a little bit,
Wriggling into your hands and feet or perhaps rolling the head from side to side.
And then when you feel ready,
We'll roll all the way over onto your right hand side.
After a few breaths here,
Making your way up to sitting.
