This short guided meditation is all about helping you expand and really feel into your own body awareness.
So just get settled.
You can be sitting or lying down.
Let your breathing come deep and even.
Relaxing and letting go.
Now feel the connection between your body and the floor.
Notice each point that connects your body to the floor.
Begin to feel the heaviness of your body sinking into the floor.
Now come to notice the breath.
Feel the rise and the fall of your belly.
Feel your chest rise and fall.
Begin to feel the lightness of your body as you bring awareness to your breath.
Your body is completely relaxed.
Mind completely aware.
The body is feeling light.
Bring awareness to the toes.
Feel the toes.
Envision your toes attached to your left foot.
Left big toe,
Fourth toe,
Third toe,
Second toe,
Pinky toe.
The left foot,
The heel,
The sole of the foot,
The ankle,
Whole of the left foot.
The right foot,
Right big toe,
Fourth toe,
Third toe,
Second toe,
Pinky toe.
The right foot,
The heel,
The sole of the foot,
The ankle,
The whole of your right foot.
Both feet together.
Bringing your awareness to your left leg,
The shin,
The calf muscles,
The knee,
The thigh,
The left buttock,
The whole of the left leg,
Now the right leg,
The shin,
Calf muscles,
The knee,
Thigh,
The right buttock,
The whole of the right leg,
Both legs together.
Now your hips,
Lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back,
Your whole back,
Your complete spine,
The whole back.
Now your awareness on the left shoulder blade,
Right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder,
Left upper arm,
Left elbow,
Left lower arm,
Left wrist,
Left hand,
Right shoulder,
Right upper arm,
Right elbow,
Right lower arm,
Right wrist,
Right hand,
And now both arms together.
Still breathing deeply and relaxed,
You take your awareness to your chest,
Ribs,
Belly,
The whole of the front of your body,
Now your neck,
Back of your head,
Forehead,
Left eyebrow,
Right eyebrow,
The space between your eyebrows,
The left eye,
The right eye,
The left cheek,
The right cheek,
Now your jaw,
Tongue,
Your lips,
Your chin,
Now your throat,
Now the whole of your head,
The whole of your head together,
The whole of your body together.
Feel the lightness of your whole body together,
Relax and feel heavy,
Sink into the floor beneath you,
Relax the whole body.
Relax.
Relax.
Feel the body connected to the floor.
Relax.
Feel the awareness of your body.
Start to make small movements of your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes a bit,
Nice deep breath,
Breathing in and out.
When you're ready,
Gently blinking your eyes open,
Taking this awareness of your body with you into the rest of your day.
