Hello there,
This is Moira here with a short meditation intended to help you quiet your mind.
And so I invite you to get into as comfortable a position as you can.
You can be sitting or lying down for this.
Then close your eyes as you start to relax and let go.
And take in a nice deep breath.
And now breathe out.
Emptying your lungs completely.
And once again take a nice deep full breath.
And out and never strained or rushed or beyond what's right for you.
As you breathe in,
You breathe in strength,
Vitality and breathe out any stress or tension.
And continue breathing this way to help you relax deeper and deeper.
Find your natural rhythm with this.
Taking full deep breaths as you allow your breathing to discover its own natural unhurried pace.
As ideas or thoughts enter your mind,
Just let them flow away without any attachment or any story.
And now listen to the world that it gives you.
And let it guide you.
And let it guide you.
And let it guide you.
And let it guide you.
And let it guide you.
And listen to the world that exists inside you.
Hear the clattering,
The chattering of your mind,
Constant talking to ourselves.
Witness and see the patterns and habits of your mind.
Planning,
Calculating,
Judging,
Comparing,
Ruminating,
Worrying.
Note when your thoughts get stuck or dwell on memories,
Reliving them over and over like an addiction to thought.
Like an addiction to thought.
Notice when your thoughts chase after the future,
Trying to control time by planning and hoping.
And just let all of that thinking go.
Just let yourself let it all go for now.
Just for a moment.
Just reassure yourself that even if you stop thinking,
Just for a few moments it will be okay.
Just give yourself permission to love this very moment.
See if you can give yourself permission to love this moment without trying to figure out what you could be doing instead.
Encourage and acknowledge to yourself that you deserve this little time away from all of that busyness.
All of your busy life.
And all of that frantic thinking that you've made.
May have become very accustomed to.
Your breathing is calm and easy.
Relax your toes and your feet.
Soften and relax your ankles and knees.
Relax your leg muscles.
Your breathing is natural,
Deep and also very relaxing.
Relax your fingers and your head.
Relax your head.
Relax your fingers and your hands.
Loosen and soften your wrists and your elbows.
Relax your arms.
Your breathing is slow and peaceful.
Feel your feet and your legs get heavy and warm.
Feel your hands and arms get heavy and warm.
Simply take your awareness to your breath as any thoughts come in and go.
Focus on your breathing.
Let go of any tension or tightness as your body melts and softens into a state of peaceful quiet.
Let your jaw relax.
Relax your face.
Loosen your tongue.
Your heartbeat and your breathing are calm and steady.
Your breathing is relaxed.
Your mind is completely clear of any thinking.
Your abdomen is soft and warm.
All of your limbs feel so lovely and heavy,
Heavy and warm.
Watch your thoughts as they come and go,
A wee bit like clouds in the sky.
Your hands are warm.
Your forehead is cool and your breathing is deep and relaxed.
Feel your breath sink lower and lower into your lungs.
As your shoulders soften,
Relax and let go.
Feel your breath expand and fill the upper part of your chest.
You are relaxed and peaceful.
Warm hands,
Cool forehead.
Just hear the silence grow as your mind hushes.
Your relaxed,
Calm and centered.
The rhythm of your beating heart and your breathing are calm and steady.
Warm hands,
Cool forehead.
Your breathing is deep and calm.
Enjoy this quiet,
This peace.
When you know it's time to leave this place,
Start to return.
Let your breathing bring you back.
Gently take another couple of nice,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Just pause for a moment.
Remember and remind yourself that you can return to this place anytime you wish to.
Maybe only for a moment at a time but it will remind you of the amazing power of peace that's yours,
That's here.
One more nice breath all the way back.
When you're ready you can softly blink your eyes open and allow yourself to feel the goodness of this meditation practice.
