Welcome,
Dear one.
This is your self-led morning practice,
A sacred space to begin your day connected and anchored in self-energy.
Each morning we meet one of the original qualities of your essence,
The natural energies that live within your being.
Today,
We awaken curiosity,
The quality of self that sees without agenda,
Wanders without pressure and meets life with open,
Spacious awareness.
Take a moment to anchor into your seat.
Let your breath find its natural rhythm,
Flowing in and out,
Softly and gently.
With each inhale,
Arrive here a little more.
With each exhale,
Release what is not needed.
And now,
Slowly begin turning inward.
Let yourself notice the sensations in your body,
The pace of your breath,
The thoughts inside your mind.
Curiosity arises when there is no agenda,
When we soften the push toward outcomes and release the pressure to know.
So,
Begin noticing if today there is any part of you clouding the energy,
The sense of curiosity,
Open-mindedness.
Maybe there is a part that really wants to solve a problem,
Find a solution or push toward one specific outcome.
A part stuck in one worldview,
One idea,
One belief,
Running the same story over and over again.
Just notice.
And if you see,
Sense or feel any part that is stuck,
Is not curious,
Is rigid in its worldview or scared,
Just very gently let it know,
ËWould you give me just a little bit more space?
Í ëJust for this moment,
Would you please loosen your grip?
Í ëWould you please soften that agenda or that belief so I can open my mind?
Í And notice if anything shifts even slightly.
And now stay open to notice if there is any part that is afraid to explore,
Maybe fearful of the unknown,
Fearful of going inward,
Fearful of discovering something new,
Looking at things from another perspective.
And if there is this scared part,
Thatís the case,
Just open your heart to that part and offer it a little bit of your compassion.
And let that part know that is scared to see something differently.
See I can handle going into the unknown.
I can handle discovering something new,
Seeing with a new pair of eyes.
Just for this moment,
Would you please give me just a bit more space so I can open my mind and find more curiosity?
And so notice if these parts want to give you some space today to open the door,
Release rigidity and fear so you can be curious about yourself,
About the world.
And now gently turn towards parts that might hold some sort of agenda,
Those that want a specific outcome or insist on one particular direction.
And so very gently let them know they can take a break.
Go ahead and tell them you can soften,
You can rest,
You donít need to lead right in this moment.
And feel how your inner world responds when these parts relax,
When there is no pressure,
No push,
No urgency.
Notice if your mind begins to open even just a little.
Now you may invite the quality of curiosity to move gently into your system.
Open your mind,
Make you curious,
Not forcing,
Not searching,
Simply opening.
Let yourself get a little more curious about your inner world.
Curious about how you feel.
Curious about the sensations in your body.
Curious about the subtle shifts in your thoughts,
Feelings and emotions.
See if you can also get curious about the world around you.
Curious about the people you think you know.
Curious about the conversations you will have today.
Curious about what life might reveal when you are not rushing to conclusions.
And now gently bring your awareness to yourself.
We often believe we already know who we are.
But inside us is a vast unexplored dimension.
So allow the sense of curiosity touch that inner world with a very gentle attention.
And as you turn inwards,
Let your parts know I hear your opinions.
I hear your worldview formed from the old experiences.
But today I want to see everything with new eyes.
Stay with this openness for a few more breaths,
Allowing curiosity to take its place as a guiding quality for your day.
And now notice your surroundings again,
The air,
The sounds,
Things around you and let this quality you have explored today be the energy that guides your day.
Let it infuse your actions,
Your choices,
Your voice and the way you explore your inner and outer worlds.
And now bring one hand to your heart and let yourself know,
Today I lead from curiosity.
I begin from curiosity.
Take one last deep breath and as you exhale,
Feel yourself open,
Softened and ready to meet the day from South.
