Welcome,
Dear one.
This is your self-led morning practice and today we welcome one of the qualities of self-energy,
The energy of calm.
Take a moment to anchor into your seat and for the next few breaths allow your whole body to experience a deep nourishing rhythm.
Your breath flowing in and out.
Notice how your chest rises and falls.
Notice how,
With each breath,
There is a little more space for you to simply be.
Slowly begin withdrawing your senses and attention into the space behind your eyes.
Gently,
Slowly entering your inner world.
Now become aware of the parts of you that feel far from calm this morning.
Maybe there is a warrior part with all its problems,
Questions and doubts.
Welcome that part.
Perhaps there is an efficiency manager,
Making sure you keep everything in mind,
Trying to stay on top of it all.
Welcome that part too.
Or maybe there is a protector part that worries or anticipates danger.
A hyper-vigilant part that just can't settle.
As you witness these parts that are far from the energy of calm,
Give them just a little bit more room in your system.
Welcome them here.
Invite these parts to pause for a moment.
To stop doing what they've been doing and simply look back at you.
Let them see you.
The one who is aware,
Awake,
Present and,
Hopefully,
Compassionate this morning.
Let these parts know that you see their efforts,
How hard they try to keep everything running.
Protecting.
Controlling.
Anticipating.
And with love,
Let them know they are not alone.
Let them really look at you.
Let them see who you are.
And from that place,
Reassure them that you,
The mature self,
Are here now and you will take the lead.
Invite these parts to really sense your presence of self.
To feel your steady energy and to rest in the knowing that they no longer have to do this on their own.
Notice how they begin to soften,
Recognizing you today,
Trusting you a little bit more today.
Feel where in your body you begin to have more access to that quality of calm.
That calm,
Steady,
Grounded presence.
Maybe it is in your chest.
Or maybe it is in your throat.
Or maybe somewhere deep inside your gut.
Welcome that quality.
Welcome your calm to step forward more fully.
Remember,
This calm is not something you earn or work hard for or have to deserve.
Calm is something you already are.
It is one of the pure qualities of your self-energy.
Now,
Let yourself step fully into that field of calm.
Allow it to flow through your body.
Down your legs.
Up through your spine.
Slowly moving into your arms and hands,
Through your throat and your head.
As you embody calm,
Feel this vibration moving through you.
Expanding through you.
Radiating outward from you.
Allow the vibration of calm energy become the energy for today.
The place from which you will lead,
Leave,
Make decisions and move forward.
Meet all challenges.
