Welcome to this guided breathwork journey for reconnecting to your roots.
This practice is all about helping you ground,
Reconnect to the earth,
And reconnect to your root chakra,
Your first energy center.
We will combine breath with visualizations and affirmations in order to do so.
The breathwork in this practice will be fairly gentle and will remain in a 4-4 rhythm the whole time.
And of course,
This practice is best to do outside if possible,
But if not,
That's perfectly fine.
So find yourself in a supportive and comfortable position,
Whether that's seated or lying down on your back.
I invite you to close down your eyes,
Tuning your focus and your attention inwards,
Beginning to feel your body supported by the surface beneath you,
Allowing yourself to really let go and be held by the earth.
Bringing your awareness to the bottom of your feet,
Now imagine there are strong,
Healthy,
Energetic roots reaching from your feet down into the dark,
Rich,
Moist soil of the earth,
Growing deeper and deeper,
Creating a strong foundation and a strong connection to the earth,
A connection that will help you feel very grounded during this practice.
Now using your awareness to follow those roots back up through the earth's soil until you reach the surface of the earth and the connection between the bottom of your feet and the earth's surface.
Lining back in your body with your energetic roots still intact and connected with the earth.
Now we'll use the breath to strengthen that connection and activate your root chakra.
Now bring your awareness to your breath,
Taking a few natural breaths here in any way that feels supportive for you.
Now we're going to begin in a 4-4 rhythm with a connected breath,
Breathing in the nose and out the mouth.
Taking a breath in,
Now with each inhalation,
I invite you to imagine that you are drawing the energy from the earth up through your energetic roots,
Through your feet,
To your root center that sits at your pelvic floor at the base of your spine.
And on each,
Simply allowing that energy to flow back down the legs,
Out the feet,
Where it can then spiral around as you draw more of that energy up with your next inhalation.
And as you do so,
A sense of warmth,
Security,
Flow and cultivate at this center.
Now take a deep breath in,
Hold and squeeze your pelvic floor,
Focusing your attention on your root.
And now release the breath and hold your breath,
Sinking deeper into the support of the surface beneath you as you allow yourself to be held and carried by the earth.
Tuning in to the nurture and the nourishment that the earth provides for you every single day.
Now take a deep breath in and hold your breath,
Again focusing all of that energy at the base of the spine,
Allowing that energy to concentrate and build and build as you hold,
Engaging your pelvic floor,
Anchoring in more of that energy.
And now release.
Let's get ready for the next round.
Going straight into a 4-4 rhythm again.
Let's begin.
Taking a breath in,
Release,
3,
2,
1,
In,
2,
3,
4.
And again,
Using the visualization from the first round if that feels supportive and nurturing for you.
Moving that energy from the earth to your root center,
And from the root center back down to the earth,
Allowing each breath to create this symbiotic relationship of give and take.
With each inhalation,
We take in so much fresh oxygen and life force,
And with each exhalation,
We reciprocate that by releasing CO2 for all of the plants.
Now take a deep breath in and hold,
And release your breath,
And hold your breath.
I am grounded in the stillness.
My roots grow deeper each and every day,
Keeping me connected to the earth,
Taking in all the nourishment that is there for me.
And for that,
I am truly grateful.
And now take a deep breath in,
Using those energetic roots to pull up all that beautiful energy from the earth,
Allowing it to fill every cell in your body.
As these feelings of peace continue to grow and grow as you hold your breath,
And now release your breath.
Simply allowing these words to sink in to the depths of your being.
I am grounded and supported in everything that I do.
I am strong,
And I am stable,
Knowing my roots run deep,
And that I am held and loved by the earth and so many others.
My connection to the earth reminds me that I am safe and at home.
I am worthy to take in the nourishment that the earth and life provides for me,
And I reciprocate it by giving back to the earth.
I find my center easily when I go astray,
And I am able to release the fear and know that I am eternally safe,
Because deep down,
I know that I belong here.
All is well,
All is well.
Take this grounded presence with you as you continue on your day.
Sending you so much love.
Until next time.
