Hey I'm Cyrus.
Think about something that you really want.
Maybe you want it almost too much.
Maybe wanting it that much is stopping you from getting it.
Maybe you already know that,
Which is why you don't let yourself want it as much as you do.
Because that feeling of wanting is like an obstacle between you and what you want.
Ironically it probably seems like trying to convince yourself to want it less or maybe working and trying harder to get it are the solutions,
But that probably hasn't been working as well as you want it to.
So the technique that we're going to embrace today is to feel the wanting so much that it actually transmutes and dissolves into the feeling of already having it.
It's one thing to logically understand that,
Another to experience it,
And I can almost guarantee you've never experienced it like this before.
So if you're ready to dive in,
Get into a comfortable position,
Upright in a chair,
With your spine straight,
In a relaxed,
Alert position,
And close your eyes.
Take a deep,
Slow,
Powerful breath into your body.
Fill up the entire body with the breath.
Hold it at the top and feel your body for a moment as you hold your breath.
And now exhale slowly out through your mouth,
Allowing your body to decompress and relax a little bit as you let the air spill out.
Let's do two more like that to really drop into the body.
Breathe 10% deeper into the whole body.
Fill up the balloon.
Hold it.
Feel the body head to toe with your full attention,
And release a little slower out through the mouth.
Last one,
Deepest one.
Breathe deep.
Fill it up.
Hold at the top.
Be present with all the little tingling sensations that you notice head to toe,
And let it go slowly out through the mouth.
And now settle into a final comfortable position where your body is also upright enough to fuel the flow of energy,
Not slouchy.
And now with your body relaxed and your eyes closed,
Begin to become aware of that object of your desire,
That thing that you want.
And as it cycles through your mind,
Allow it to freeze on a single image that represents the most intense craving and wanting for that thing,
That image that speaks to you deep down.
Start to lock into the details of that image and any other senses that arise.
Maybe you hear something,
Smell something,
Taste something,
Or can feel a sense of touch associated with that image.
Now if you feel safe in this moment to do so,
Allow the feeling of desire,
Of wanting to start to rise up to the surface of your body.
You might be used to pushing it down,
But if it feels safe to do so,
Let it rise up instead to the surface of your body.
Notice any initial layer of resistance that you have to letting it rise up,
Don't judge that.
And let that melt away so that the full wave of that energy can bubble to the surface now.
Start to become familiar with the particular sensations of that desire.
Maybe you feel yourself being pulled towards something.
Maybe there's a tugging,
A tingling,
A fluttering sensation or excitement.
Or whatever else you might notice,
Notice where you notice it in your body and notice what the sensations feel like.
Now take a moment to acknowledge that there is wanting and desire present,
That you do in fact want this thing.
Let go of any fear or guilt or shame or wanting to modify that level of desire that you feel.
Instead simply take a moment to acknowledge,
Yes,
I want this thing,
There is desire present within me for this thing.
And now ignore the thoughts,
Let go of the image and shift all of your attention to the sensation of that desire within the body.
Take the plunge into the sensation itself with your full attention.
Shift into welcoming mode,
Welcome that energy to flow through you to have a life of its own,
To run its course.
Let go of the thoughts and images,
Focus on the flow,
The wave of energy as you let the wantingness pass through your body without trying to control it or modulate it in any way.
If your body moves or grooves or shakes or twitches,
Just allow it to,
Allow the full flow of that energy to move through the body and simply witness its flow.
Continue to let go of control and let that feeling of wanting and desire flow through you without trying to hold it back,
Without judgment,
Witness the wave of sensations.
And you might notice in the recesses of your unconscious now a subtle fear that if you let go of this desire,
If you let it all run through you,
That you won't get what you want.
A fear that you need this intensity of desire in order to go and get what you want.
Notice this fear if it exists,
Allow yourself to feel it for a moment,
Watch the sensations of it as it flows through the body as well,
And begin to let it all go now.
Be willing to let it flow through you as an experiment,
To hand it over to some greater energy,
The universe,
Whatever you like.
Allow this greater energy to dissolve the wantingness for you as you let these sensations all flow up and out through your body.
Don't think about how to let them go,
Just be willing to let them go and watch them as they spontaneously begin to evaporate and crackle out of your body.
Be aware of the space that you've opened up within your mind and body now,
And in that space begin to welcome in a sense of lightness,
Of peace,
Of abundance.
Breathe those energies into the space,
Into every cell of your body and mind.
Breathe in a feeling of wholeness,
Of balance,
Of already having more than enough of everything you could ever want.
Don't think about it,
Just feel and breathe these overflowing energies.
Allow that to simmer and marinate within your consciousness for a moment,
This feeling of inherent,
Intrinsic wholeness and fulfillment.
And now begin to revisit that thing that you want.
Be aware of how your perspective on it and towards it might have shifted in a subtle or major way,
And begin to relate to that thing as if you already have it,
As if it's already in your life.
Imagine and feel what that's like in this moment,
As if it's totally real.
Feel it in your body.
And now if you would still like to create that thing in your life,
Perhaps go about it from the perspective of choosing it in your life,
Not wanting it per se.
Imagine yourself choosing that,
So that if there's actions that you need to take,
Or ways that you need to show up to attract or create that in your life,
You can still take that action,
But from a place of choosing instead of wanting,
Seeing how from this perspective there's no obstacle energetically between you and that thing,
Now that you've cleared some of the wanting energy out,
And you've simply chosen it instead.
You might notice that thing that you wanted has taken on a slightly different form,
Or perhaps a different level of importance,
Or maybe it's exactly the same and you can simply relate to it with a little bit less stress and a little bit more enjoyment in the process of going about it.
But in any case,
Simply repeat this,
Giving yourself permission to feel the energy of desire,
To let it run through your system,
And to release it to find and discover that place of effortless balance within your consciousness.
