Hey,
I'm Cyrus.
Welcome to this deep,
Effortless REM sleep meditation.
If you've been having trouble getting to sleep or sleeping as deeply as you want,
This session is gonna help guide you off in an effortless,
Magical way.
Start off by setting your room up to be conducive to sleep.
Get it as dark as you can.
Maybe adjust the temperature so you can get it nice and cool or exactly how you like it for a deep sleep.
Take a moment now to adjust your sleeping place into a nice,
Soft,
Buoyant nest for you to rest in and allow yourself to gently fall and rest and sink into the support underneath you.
Arrange your body into a comfortable,
Effortless position with your arms by your side and your legs straight out or whatever position allows you to feel the most relaxed with your energy flowing smoothly throughout your body,
Head to toe.
And now that you've found that position,
Take a moment to let yourself land in the support.
Feel the grounding sensation of the earth or the bed underneath you,
The subtle electromagnetic energy that connects your body to the surface that it's resting on.
Allow yourself to let all the subtle muscles and fascia sink and connect with that support and start to breathe slowly and intentionally and effortlessly into that point of contact between your body and the support.
Start to guide your breath in through the nose,
Into those points of contact,
And let the breath fall and wash back out through the mouth.
Take another slightly deeper breath in through the nose,
Breathing into the whole body,
Allowing it to all the cells,
Subtly invigorating all of them and washing back out at its own pace.
Doing amazing one final time.
Now take a deep breath in through the nose,
But hold the breath this time.
And as you hold it at the top of the breath,
Feel the whole body head to toe.
All the sensations changing subtly as you hold for a moment and easefully letting the breath wash back out slowly,
Calmly,
Allowing your body to decompress and fall deeper into the support.
And now bring your spotlight of attention effortlessly to the tips of your big toes.
Don't think,
Just direct the attention to wash into the big toes and feel the attention wash and disperse into the rest of the toes now.
And allow the energy and attention to drop down into the soles of the feet,
Feeling it wash along the curvature of the base of your feet.
Feel all the energy from the tips of your toes to the base of your heels,
Just alive with a subtle tingling sensation,
Aware of the details in this moment.
And now move your attention in a rhythm.
When thoughts come up,
Drop them and simply return to the rhythm as consistently and as best you can.
One moment,
One spot at a time,
Bringing your attention to your calves,
Making contact with the surface underneath you.
Feel the calf muscles.
Feel the energy wash up in reverse,
Feeling your hamstrings on the back of your thighs.
Move up into the glutes,
Making contact with the surface underneath you.
And feel the lower back,
The energy and sensations alive,
Alert.
Allow the attention to wash up through the back until it reaches your upper back.
And like a wave,
Feel it crest up into the shoulders.
Feel the wave trickle down into the biceps and triceps.
Let go of thoughts,
Let go of concerns as your attention washes into your forearms,
Feeling a dedicated,
Single-pointed attention on your forearms.
Notice the wrists as you pass them on your way to the palms,
Feeling the palms of the hands alive,
Relaxed,
Alert,
Moving to the back of your hands as you feel the thumbs,
Index fingers lighting up one at a time as you reach your middle fingers,
Ring fingers,
And pinkies.
Move smoothly as you jump to the top of your head,
Rest your attention at the top of your head.
Make it your only job right now to be at the top of your head,
Like a bird that's perched calmly and safely at the top of your head,
Not a concern in the world as you rest there for a moment.
Move down now to the forehead.
Sense and feel any energy you might notice just behind the forehead,
Maybe an inch or an inch and a half behind the spot between your eyebrows.
And notice what's going on in your nostrils.
Can you feel the subtle tickle of the air,
The ebb and flow that washes to and fro?
Do you notice the sensation in your lips,
Not thinking about it,
But paying attention directly to the subtle details of the sensations in your lips?
And notice the universe of sensations within the mouth,
In the tongue,
And the insides of the cheeks,
At the roof of the mouth,
And rest the attention at the center of the neck for a moment.
Feel the energy and sensations at the center of the neck.
Feel any effort you were holding in your face or your jaw or your neck slowly starting to dissolve.
Let that effortlessness wash into your arms and hands now.
Let go of needing to do anything.
Their job is done for the day.
Let them go without even trying to let them go.
Let them let themselves go.
Feel all that tension and self-protection you were holding in the chest and stomach starting to soften and bloom and open with the breath as your heart and your stomach prepares itself for the openness of a pleasant dreamscape or perhaps even just a pleasantly floating dreamless sleep.
Let the back muscles start to unwind simply by noticing them.
What subtle tension is holding itself in the back?
Can you imagine it unwinding,
Unraveling,
Sinking into the support,
Letting that support catch you as you release back into it if it feels safe to do so now.
Start to get curious about your legs and feet.
What's there?
What remains to be released?
And don't try to do anything about it for a moment.
Just get curious about that area.
And now let your legs and feet know that it's safe to let go.
Let them relax.
Let them wash into the energetic ocean of support underneath and all around you.
And now if it feels good to you,
Just imagine yourself floating in an endless ocean of energy.
Imagine this ocean as a safe,
Relaxing place.
See it in the colors that feel good to you and see yourself floating blissfully within it,
Surrendered to its natural intelligence.
Imagine as if this ocean of energy that carries you is whispering to you,
Telling you that you belong here,
Telling you that it's okay to let go now,
That it's okay to let go of whatever you're carrying with you,
That it's okay to relax into something greater than yourself,
That it's okay to rest and recharge and give yourself permission to just be,
That it's okay to stop trying so hard and to let go of effort and let things flow to you.
Breathe slowly and effortlessly from the soles of your feet up to the top of your head.
And on the exhale,
Track the breath and the flow of energy as it washes back from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
And when you reach the feet,
Let the next breath travel back up from the feet to the spot between your eyebrows and back down to the soles of your feet on the air.
Bring it back up again on the next breath to the center of your neck.
Allow the energy to expand there for a moment and let it fall back to the soles of your feet as you breathe out effortlessly.
And bring the next breath from the feet up to the heart.
Let it open and expand and then wash back down to the feet.
Breathe up from the feet now to the lower belly.
Allow that energy to open and relax and then bring it back down to the soles of the feet,
Getting lost in the rhythm as it goes from the feet back up to the knees,
Breathing into the knees and then back down.
Breathe from the feet into the ankles,
Just a short distance as it washes back down out through the toes as it goes.
Let it go,
Let the tension dissolve from your body and feel yourself land even more fully here on the simplicity of the support,
The ocean of energy surrounding you,
Carrying you,
Restoring you at the deepest levels possible.
Let any of the hard edges of your mind or thoughts melt away and start to drift into a sense of unification and harmony and wavy flow.
Letting the sweetness of sleep start to find you without even trying to as you enter the deep now,
The depth of this moment with all its details and texture and richness and effortless relaxation.
And simply let go of whatever arises in this ocean that you've cultivated,
Over and over let go,
But until a sense of deep and thorough rest starts to wash through every cell of your being and simply relax into that at whatever pace feels effortless to you.

It does what it says on the tin! I put this on at 2:15 AM when I woke up wide awake and I was asleep before the meditation finished. I even had an extra hour sleep in today as the sleep was feeling so nice and restful. I'll be saving this one for later that's for sure! Thanks Cyrus. 🙏😃✨️🛌✨️
