Hey,
It's Cyrus,
And you've been taught that flow state is a fluke.
You know that state where everything's going your way,
You're super flowing,
Everything's happening through you,
Everything is going your way?
It's frustrating because that state seems to show up randomly,
Once in a blue moon,
And it doesn't have to be that way.
That flow state can become normal and frequent.
Part of that is training your body and mind through meditation to be in a deep state of focus and absorption with whatever you're doing,
But a huge part of it is training your subconscious and your body to believe that it's possible because you've been so brainwashed to believe that it isn't.
So that's what we're going to do in today's session.
We're going to prime our bodies and minds to enter that state on a feeling level and then affirm to our subconscious that it's normal and easy to frequently enter that state.
And this is going to work wonders in all areas of your life.
It's going to make things more effortless,
Enjoyable,
And effective in everything you do the more you practice and affirm this.
So let's begin.
This session is best done sitting upright in a chair in a relaxed but upright position.
Go ahead and find a posture that feels easy but also alert to you in this moment.
Make sure you've eliminated any potential distractions in your environment,
And when you have,
Just go ahead and close your eyes,
Settle into that physical position,
And take a slow,
Deep,
Powerful breath in through your nose all the way down to your toes,
And very slowly like you're breathing out through a straw,
Exhaling out through the mouth.
Let's do two more like that.
A little bit slower,
A little bit deeper,
Breathing in through the nose all the way down the body,
Feeling that flow of energy as it comes back up as you exhale super slow out through the mouth.
Last one,
Deepest one,
But let's make it a short breath hold.
Breathe in deep,
Fill up the body like a balloon,
Hold it at the top,
Feel your body head to toe,
The energy buzzing fully present as you hold for another moment.
And super slow exhale out through the mouth,
Relaxing and decompressing deeply as you do,
Staying alert in your mind as your body relaxes.
And let's get into that relaxed and focused state before we enter the visual zone.
Just start to notice any tension in your face,
Your jaw,
Your tongue,
Your eyes,
Just allow those to soften and drop as you navigate down with your mental spotlight to the neck and shoulders,
And let the little spindles of the muscles unwind with the breath.
Feel the energy coursing up and down your arms and hands,
And sense them softening,
Just hanging out,
Relaxing in this moment.
Keep the mind sharp and awake as you navigate into your chest and stomach and back,
Feeling the entirety of your torso expanding and contracting easily with the breath and softening as you relax it slightly.
Feel the pelvic bowl gently relaxing and dropping into the support,
And the legs and feet,
Those super high waves of chi,
Just feeling that life energy buzzing up and down the legs and feet,
And relaxing as you release any subtle tension that was holding there.
Feel the whole body moving and flowing with the breath,
Head to toe,
Relaxing and opening up more and more as you feel all that energy subtly flowing and connecting head to toe.
Feel yourself relaxed but gently concentrated on the entire body and all the details of the energy as you hone in with a gentle concentration for another focused moment.
And now,
On your mental movie screen,
I invite you to remember a time where you were in a flow state.
Maybe it was while you were playing a sport,
Or in a social situation,
Or walking through nature,
Whatever it was,
Just remember whatever memory jumps to mind as a powerful flow state experience that still resonates with you now when you think about it.
Visualize the details of those moments as if they're really happening now,
And allow the energy you feel to flow through your body as if it's really happening now.
Allow that energy to expand in your body to begin to transcend and elevate as you feel the magic of those moments running through your entire system.
Notice how in those moments there's likely little or no thoughts happening,
It's just happening through you,
The experience is flowing through you.
And just notice and enjoy the feeling of riding that wave.
Breathe and allow that feeling to magnify and amplify more than you even thought possible.
Allow that flow state to happen powerfully through you in this moment,
Not thinking,
Just feeling that.
Begin to notice and allow the belief and feeling that everything is going your way.
Notice and allow the feeling that everything you do just works.
Feel and sense and reinforce how you can do no wrong as you're just overflowing with energy and creative instincts.
Everything flows because it's flowing through you,
And you don't even have to take credit for it,
You can just witness it and allow it to flow through you freely.
Notice how it's like that feeling when you're driving and you hit every green light like everything is just flowing through you.
It's just timed for you,
And even when it's not,
You find a way to work it into your rhythm as you flow with whatever arises.
Affirm to yourself in your mind now,
This is easy to feel,
This is normal to feel.
Notice how in this state you can see and feel things in slow motion,
Going at your pace,
Tuned into the details of what's happening now.
Affirm again in your mind,
This state is effortless,
It's no big deal.
I allow this state to show up frequently and deeply.
See and affirm to yourself that this state is fun and playful and light as it flows through you and collaborates with you.
Finally,
Affirm to yourself if it rings true,
That this state feels good and easy and effortless.
And I welcome it to show up in my life more often.
And I enjoy this state of flow just for its own sake.
And all the benefits that flow from it are just a nice byproduct.
Feel your body reverberating with that energy of flow and your mind saturated in its embrace,
In its normalcy.
And I invite you to deliberately bring this back into your day by focusing on one moment at a time,
Whatever's in front of you.
Allowing yourself to build your rhythm slow and steady and pick up speed gradually at your own pace.
And as you open your eyes and transition back into the physical,
I invite you to notice how you feel any subtle shifts.
And I encourage you to practice this on a regular basis,
Maybe once a week.
To not only feel that state more and more often,
But reaffirm deeply that it's more and more normal.
So you can recondition yourself to allow it and feel it and enjoy it more and more often.
Instead of randomly or as a fluke.
And as I mentioned,
The other main piece of the puzzle with allowing flow state to show up more frequently is to train your meditation skills at a high level.
So that state of relaxed focus that lends itself to flow state is stable because you've trained it on a day-to-day basis.
These two practices of this subconscious reinforcement you've just done and daily high level meditation will work absolute wonders in your ability to access flow states consistently.
