Practitioners sense each centre's warmth, tingling, or pulsing and may dwell on a single one or move sequentially upward through all seven, pairing each with its traditionally associated colour, sound, and element.
Chakra Visualization is an imagery-and-attention practice, not a physical yoga posture sequence or a breathwork technique, though it shares a lineage with both. It differs from open-monitoring or silent mindfulness in giving attention a specific pictured target rather than resting in bare awareness, and its focus on subtle-energy sensation is distinct from body scans that track ordinary physical sensations alone. It is a wellbeing and contemplative practice, not a medical or psychological treatment.
