Welcome to week 4 of a mindful series.
This week our theme is grounded.
This meditation has been designed to allow you to feel more grounded,
More anchored and more rested in the present moment.
For this meditation you might like to sit or you might like to lie down.
If you are sitting find a comfortable seat with your spine straight,
Your shoulders relaxed and your palms in a comfortable position.
As you close your eyes just allow the body to rest.
Allow for a moment the mind to also rest.
Knowing your expectations,
Dropping your ideas of what this meditation practice will be like.
This meditation practice we are going to use the power of our visualization.
We begin by drawing your attention to the crown of your head,
About 4 cm over your skull.
I want you to notice a bright purple light shining abundantly above the crown of your head.
You might notice a sensation or a feeling at the top of your head.
Just observe the feeling,
Observe the knowing that this bright purple light is above the crown of your head.
And then draw your attention slowly down from the crown of your head to the eyebrow center,
Your third eye.
Now the color of the orb or the light is blue.
Notice the sensations at the eyebrow center.
Just allow yourself to feel whatever it is you feel.
Allowing the light to move down from the eyebrow center to the throat.
The light is now a bright blue.
Notice the bright blue color anchors in the middle of your throat.
You start to relax your shoulders and start to observe the feeling of this.
The light moves from your throat down the middle of your body to the center of your chest,
Your heart.
Turning into a beautiful green color,
Filling up the entire heart space.
And then gently traveling down the spine to the solar plexus a few inches down.
The orb is transformed into a bright yellow light.
And as you visualize this bright yellow light,
You feel something in the solar plexus.
The light travels down gently towards the sacrum,
The lower back,
And becomes an orange color.
The sensations make its way down all the way to the base of your spine,
And which turns into a grounding red color.
Feel the weight of your sitting bones planting down.
Feel the sense of groundedness in this moment in your body.
From here take a long breath in through your nose.
And open your mouth,
Let it go.
Very gently moving your fingers and toes.
You can start to peel your eyes open.
Feeling this sense of groundedness,
Stability,
Anchoring into the rest of your day.
I'll see you again next week.
