EFT Tapping Meditation: From Self-Critical To Self-Kindness
The inner critical voice develops when we are very young, functioning as our protector. But because it develops so early, it lacks rational thinking. Instead, it relies on black & white thinking, focuses on avoiding punishment, seeks to feel in control & is the reason why we self-sabotage. We can start to make peace with our inner protector by bringing greater awareness to this part of ourselves & questioning the drivers behind what it is saying. With continued practice, this tapping meditation will help you quieten the self-critical mind & develop a mindset of self-kindness. It combines EFT with the Metta Practice & finishes with the Butterfly Hug. There is no preamble at the top of the track so you can get straight into releasing self-critical thinking & developing self-kindness. And for those new to EFT, I cover how to locate the acupressure points used when tapping in my talk - An Introduction to EFT – which can be found under my teacher profile here on Insight Timer.
