This short mindfulness exercise is designed to be used whenever you are in need of respite from an overactive mind. By placing all your awareness on the senses, it helps to still the mind and body, creating a feeling of calm. When used often, it can also increase your ability to become truly still at all levels of your being, leading to greater awareness, a heightened sense of experience, and a peaceful state of mind. This track is also helpful to use prior to EFT (tapping) because it aids in grounding the body via the senses. This mindfulness meditation can be used in a seated or reclined position and there is an ending bell to signal the end of the session. There is also an alternative option with no ending bell under my profile for meditators wanting to practice this stillness exercise as a way to wind down prior to falling asleep.

This short mindfulness exercise is designed to be used whenever you are in need of respite from an overactive mind.

By placing all your awareness on the senses,

It helps to still the mind and body,

Creating a feeling of calm.

If you are seeking a short mindfulness meditation to use prior to falling asleep,

I have created a sleep version of this exercise which can be found under my profile.

Take a moment to settle comfortably into a seated or reclined position.

Allow your mind to release any concern or preoccupation.

Let your mind fall still.

Be aware of where you are now.

Feel the ground below your feet or heels.

Notice the weight of your body on the surface supporting you.

Feel the touch of clothing on your skin.

And notice the play of air on your hands and face.

If they are open,

Let the eyes receive colour and form without any comment.

And if they are closed,

Become aware of your closed eyelids.

Notice the taste in your mouth,

And any aromas or scents in your surroundings.

Be fully present in this moment.

Now become aware of any sounds in the room.

Let sounds be received,

And let them rise and fall without any comment or judgement.

With the body completely relaxed,

Let the hearing run right out to the furthest and gentlest sounds.

Now simply rest in this awareness and stillness for a few moments.

Tanias Stimme ist sehr angenehm und es fällt leicht ihr zu folgen. Die Meditation ist kurz und bringt einen Moment der Ruhe. Perfekt für einen guten Start in den Tag oder zwischendurch.
