Before we begin tapping,
Tune in to the fatigue and give it a score out of 10,
With 10 being the most fatigued you have ever felt,
And 0 representing no fatigue at all.
Just take note of how you are feeling.
We will use this score to assess the magnitude of the shift when we check in at the end of this session.
We'll begin by tapping on the side of the hand and just substitute whatever words describe how you are feeling if anything I say doesn't quite land for you.
Even though I have woken up feeling exhausted because I didn't get enough sleep last night,
I acknowledge how I feel right now.
Still tapping on the side of the hand,
Even though I feel depleted and drained,
Because I didn't get enough rest,
And I'm worried that I won't have enough energy to get through the day,
I accept that this is a concern for me.
And one more time on the side of the hand,
Even though I feel all of this fatigue,
And my day hasn't even started,
I accept how I'm feeling as much as I can right now.
Top of the head,
Feeling tired.
Eyebrow,
Feeling drained.
Side of eye,
I didn't get enough sleep last night.
Under the eye,
I've woken up feeling low in energy.
Under the nose,
I feel like I have nothing in the tank.
Under the mouth,
I'm feeling depleted.
Collarbone,
It's hard to get going.
Under the arm,
I don't have enough energy.
Top of the head,
All this fatigue.
Eyebrow,
It feels like I can't function.
Outer eye,
Worried that I won't be able to get through the day.
Under the eye,
I have little to no energy.
Under the nose,
My body didn't get enough rest last night.
Under the mouth,
No wonder I'm feeling so exhausted.
Collarbone,
Feeling really tired.
Under the arm,
Concerned that I won't have the physical and mental energy to get through the day.
Top of the head,
Worried that I will be irritable and lack motivation.
Eyebrow,
Worried that I won't be able to focus and think clearly.
Outer eye,
Concerned that I won't have the energy needed to meet the demands of the day.
Under the eye,
All of this fatigue.
Under the nose,
Feeling depleted.
Under the mouth,
My energy level is so low.
Collarbone,
Feeling exhausted.
Under the arm,
Acknowledging how I feel.
Release the tapping for a moment and take two short inhales through the nose.
And breathe out through the mouth for 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Repeat again.
And out for 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Now that we have acknowledged how we feel about the fatigue,
We can turn to addressing any doubts we might have about getting through the day.
Return to tapping on the side of the hand.
Even though I doubt that I can get through the day ahead,
Because I'm feeling so drained,
It is okay to do the best I can.
Again on the side of the hand,
Even though I'm struggling with low energy,
Because my body needs more rest,
I'm open to releasing this fatigue now.
One more time on the side of the hand,
Even though it is hard to imagine getting through all that I have to do today,
When I'm feeling so fatigued,
I give my system permission to release this feeling of exhaustion,
So that I can get on with my day.
Top of the head,
I recognise that I'm feeling tired.
Eyebrow,
And that getting through the day ahead feels impossible right now.
Outer eye,
And at the same time.
Under the eye,
I recognise that there are a number of things I can do to boost my energy levels.
Under the nose,
I'm already tapping and actively lowering stress levels in my body.
Under the mouth,
So I'm off to a good start because I know that stress will only deplete my body further.
Collarbone,
Maybe there are other things I can do to help my body.
Under the arm,
Maybe I can lighten my load a little.
Top of the head,
Maybe I can focus on supporting my body as much as possible today.
Eyebrow,
What does my body need.
Outer eye,
What are some quick practical things I can do to help my body and mind get through today.
Under the eye,
Setting the intention that I will take better care of myself today.
Under the nose,
Allowing myself to carve out a few minutes each hour,
To recharge my batteries.
Under the mouth,
So that I can get through all that I need to do today.
Collarbone,
Choosing to feel more energetic.
Under the arm,
Choosing to move my body in whatever way I can.
Top of the head,
Choosing to stay hydrated and filled with nutrient dense foods.
Eyebrow,
Tapping to lower stress.
Side of the eye,
Releasing anything and everything that stands between me and optimising the energy flow in my body.
Under the eye,
Allowing the energy to flow freely throughout my whole body.
Under the nose,
Choosing to support my body as best I can.
Under the mouth,
Filling more and more energy with each tap.
Collarbone,
Dialing up the energy level in every cell in my body.
Under the arm,
So that I'm ready to face the day.
Release the tapping and give your hands and arms a shake while breathing in deeply through the nose,
Followed by an extended exhale through the mouth.
Return to tapping on the side of the hand for one last round of tapping.
Even though I woke up feeling exhausted,
I'm already beginning to feel better and ready to start my day.
Still on the side of the hand,
Even though I slept poorly last night and I didn't get the rest I needed,
I can feel my energy starting to increase.
One more time on the side of the hand,
Even though I didn't get the rest I needed last night,
I'm starting to feel more energised.
As I release all the stress and fatigue from my body with each tap.
Top of the head,
I'm releasing all the stress and fatigue from my body.
Eyebrow,
I'm allowing the energy to flow freely.
Side of the eye,
Already feeling better.
Under the eye,
Feeling more energetic.
Under the nose,
Tapping away all the fatigue.
Under the mouth,
Releasing any stress that I'm still holding onto.
Collarbone,
Setting the intention to release any stress that builds through the day.
Before I go to bed tonight.
Under the arm,
Setting the intention that I will sleep deeply and soundly tonight.
Top of the head,
And wake up tomorrow morning feeling refreshed and energised.
Eyebrow,
My energy stores are rebuilding.
Outer eye,
I'm ready to start my day.
Under the eye,
Choosing to support my body.
Under the nose,
Recharging my batteries as I tap.
Under the mouth,
Feeling more energised.
Collarbone,
Feeling alert and focused.
Under the arm,
Feeling in control and ready for the day ahead.
Release the tapping and give your hands and arms a shake while breathing in deeply through the nose,
Followed by an extended exhale through the mouth.
To end the session we'll now do a quick energy technique called the four thumps.
Return to the collarbone points and tap firmly with both hands.
We'll stay here for 20 seconds.
Keep breathing in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth as you continue to tap.
Keep filling your lungs with oxygen and removing any stale air with each out breath.
Now go to the under eye points and tap with both hands.
Again we will stay here for about 20 seconds.
Continue to breathe as you tap those under eye points.
Now form a fist and thump over the sternum right in the middle of your chest.
Keep breathing deeply in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Now move down the body and thump with your fists over the spleen points directly below the breasts or pectoral muscles between the ribs 7 and 8.
Continue to fill your lungs through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.
Release the tapping and tune into your body and notice what has changed.
Are you feeling more energised?
Has your score shifted closer to zero?
I hope you are now feeling more energised and refreshed.
If you found this tapping sequence helpful remember to bookmark it so that you can easily return to it at any point during the day if you feel your energy levels starting to take a dip.
Wishing you a stress free day and a restorative sleep tonight.
