Welcome.
Please get comfortable where you are.
Today I'm going to guide you through a practice of letting go of something you're ready to release.
Maybe it's a chapter of your life that's ending,
Changing or no longer fits the woman you're becoming.
It might be a marriage,
A career,
Or a version of your life you once imagined would last forever.
Whatever brought you here,
Let this be a place to acknowledge that something is changing.
Take a breath in through your nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
Once again,
Breathe in.
And let it go.
You might feel some resistance in releasing something that has been part of your identity.
Even when you know it's time.
Even when the change is something you chose.
Even when you're relieved.
You can want something to end and still grieve the loss of it.
You can know that a chapter is over without knowing exactly what the next one will look like.
It's okay to have some complexity around what you're feeling.
You don't need to suppress anything or convince yourself of anything.
For now,
Simply acknowledge.
Something is changing and I am changing with it.
Take another breath.
And bring to mind whatever it is you're releasing.
You might picture a person.
A home or a job or a role you've played for years.
Or perhaps a version of yourself.
The woman who believed she'd stay married.
The woman who thought motherhood would always look the same.
The woman who built her identity around her work.
The woman who thought she knew exactly what her future would be.
That have come to mind.
And notice what you feel.
There may be sadness.
Anger.
Relieve.
Fear.
Maybe there's love.
Or regret.
Or gratitude.
You may feel several of these at once.
Let them co-exist.
Now,
Silently or aloud.
Complete this sentence.
I am releasing.
Give yourself permission to name what you're letting go.
And then take a breath.
Just as there are things you want to release.
There may also be things from this chapter you want to carry with you.
May be the love or the lessons.
Perhaps the strength you found or the resilience you cultivated.
You don't have to throw everything away simply because you're moving on.
Ask yourself.
What do I want to keep?
Take a few moments to sit with the answer.
Just as you named what you're releasing.
Now you can name what you're keeping.
Complete the sentence.
I am keeping.
Finally,
Ask yourself.
What do I want to make room for now?
Maybe there's something you've been postponing.
Something you want to try.
A part of yourself you want to know better.
Perhaps you want more freedom.
More time.
More pleasure.
More space to make choices that are actually your own.
You don't need to know exactly how this will happen.
You only need to notice what you want there to be room for.
Complete the sentence.
I am making room for.
Let yourself stand at this threshold for a moment,
This place of possibility.
Take a deep breath in.
And a slow exhale.
You have permission to release what you no longer need.
You have permission to keep what remains valuable to you.
You have permission to make room for what you desire next.
Take one more breath.
And repeat after me.
I release what I no longer need.
I keep what is still valuable to me.
I make room for what comes next.
Let those words seep into your cells,
Your bones,
Your being.
Know that you have everything you need within you to move into the next space.
Take a final deep breath in.
And let it go.
Begin bringing some movement back into your body.
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Moving your shoulders.
And when you're ready.
Open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me for this practice.
You might like to do some journaling around any thoughts or feelings that came up for you.
Or perhaps enjoy a walk or some gentle movement as your body allows the change to flow through.
Do share with me what you're releasing,
Keeping and making room for.
I think it solidifies things when we share it with someone else.
I'm rooting for you and the woman you're becoming.
Sending love from my heart to yours.
