This short but powerful meditation will help you get into an age-positive mindset by helping you tap into gratitude and view aging as a gift. Through affirmations and mindfulness you'll enter a space of trust that you're exactly where you're supposed to be on your journey. A beautiful way to reset and center yourself at any time of day.

Transcript

Welcome.

Please take a moment to get comfortable.

Close your eyes if you'd like to.

Relax your shoulders.

Relax your jaw.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and then slowly exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any tightness or any tension.

And again,

Deep inhale and soft,

Slow exhale.

Notice how your body feels in this moment.

This body of yours that has always tried its best for you.

This body that has gifted you with wisdom,

With joy,

With new experiences.

This body that is your closest companion and your oldest friend.

This body that you have likely been taught to judge and criticise,

Especially as it's ageing.

Imagine each and every cell in your body glowing with light as you send love and gratitude to each part of your being.

As you inhale,

Invite energy and ease to enter your cells.

As you exhale,

Release any negative perceptions you hold about your body and how it should look or feel.

Repeat after me.

I trust the process of ageing.

I am right where I need to be.

I am grateful for the lessons of the past and the opportunities of today.

My age is a testament to my strength and resilience.

Every day is a gift.

Each moment is a blessing.

I give thanks for this life and I embrace each new chapter.

Allow these affirmations to re-energise you.

Allow them to seep into each of your cells,

Filling your entire body with gratitude and love.

With every inhale,

Allow your cells to glow with even more light.

With every exhale,

Let go of any remnants of negative energy.

Ageing is a privilege that is denied to so many.

Ageing is an opportunity for more growth,

More adventure,

More love.

Ageing is living,

So give gratitude for being alive.

On your next exhale,

Gently open your eyes,

Reconnecting with the space around you.

Notice how your energy feels now and try to keep this sense of empowerment and acceptance with you throughout the day.
