In this meditation,

We will take some time to give thanks,

Letting our entire energy space to be filled with gratitude.

Sitting either on the ground with your feet crossed,

Directly on the earth or in a chair,

With your hands at your sides,

Gently close your eyes and begin to focus on your breath.

Simply observe your breath.

There's no need to make any changes.

Notice the natural pattern of the air going in and out.

Notice the coolness of the air coming in and the warmth of the air coming out.

Now start to breathe in for a count of four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And breathe out for a count of four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

In for four.

Out for four.

In for four.

Out for four.

Continuing to focus on your breath,

Slowly bring your palms together and rub them to create some warmth.

Then place your hands on your heart space,

Feeling that warmth travel all the way into your heart.

And from that warmth,

You start to feel a glow of gratitude,

A bright golden glow.

It starts to grow around your entire heart space and you feel it pulsate,

Slowly spreading into your chest,

Upper back,

Belly and lower back.

It gently moves upwards to your shoulders and all the way down your arms,

Hands and fingers.

This bright golden glow now starts to move up your neck and covers your entire head.

It then moves downwards into your hips,

Thighs,

Your knees,

Legs and all the way to the soles of your feet,

Covering your toes completely.

Your entire aura and energy space are now filled with this golden glow of gratitude.

You feel your entire body floating in this golden energy.

And as you visualize yourself being engulfed by this gratitude,

You give thanks to your body and mind,

Thanking them for all that they do without even being asked and for bringing you as far as they have.

You give thanks to your breath,

That life giving breath which is constantly there even in the face of adversity.

You give thanks to all your ancestors who have survived before you,

Allowing you to be here today in this body,

In this lifetime.

You give thanks to all those who have helped you along your journey,

Giving thanks for all the lessons you have learned,

All that you have accomplished and for all that's yet to come.

You give thanks for waking up this morning to another day on this extraordinary earth,

Thanking the earth and the universe.

You give thanks for all your blessings and for this beautiful moment.

Knowing that you will carry this gratitude into every interaction you have moving forward,

Lifting the spirits of all those around you and spreading compassion.

Now gently letting go of this image of gratitude,

You start to come back to your breath,

Focusing on the in and out.

In and out.

In and out.

Slowly you bring movement back to your body,

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Drawing circles with your wrists and gently opening your eyes.
