Today,
We're going to do a practice to re-energize when the body and mind need a little boost.
You can do this laying down,
Sitting on the ground,
Or on a chair.
Once you've found a comfortable position with your hands at your sides,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in for a count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And breathe out for a count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Breathe in for four.
And breathe out for four.
One last time,
Breathe in for four.
And breathe out for four.
Now imagine you were on a beach,
Barefoot,
With your feet buried into the warm sand.
You hear the waves as they crash on the shore,
And you see the bright sun in the sky above you.
You slowly start to feel the sun's warm rays on the top of your head.
It moves down to your forehead,
Over your eyes,
Your nose,
Your ears,
Your cheeks,
And slowly moves down your neck.
You feel your entire head and face filled with the sun's warmth.
The warm rays continue down your neck and shoulder.
You feel it on your arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists,
And fingers.
See the rays move down your chest,
Upper back,
Belly,
And lower back.
Now your entire head and upper body are engulfed in this warmth.
You feel the rays move down your belly now and onto your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Hands,
Calves,
Your ankles,
And your feet.
The soles of your feet absorb the warmth,
And you feel it in your entire body.
Every inch of your external and internal self is filled with this life-giving energy.
You feel absolutely revitalized.
You stay there for a moment as you breathe in for four,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And breathe out for four,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
You gently start to bring movement back to your body,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Gently opening your eyes.
