Welcome to this morning meditation for when you're lacking focus.
I'm Saras Negroche and I'll be your guide today.
If you're feeling scattered,
Distracted or just struggling to focus,
This meditation is here to help you find clarity and center yourself for the day ahead.
Please go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting in a chair with your feet on the ground or lying down,
Just listen to what your body needs today and then gently close your eyes if that feels safe.
Take a deep breath in,
Breathe in a sense of calm,
Knowing that it's ok to feel a bit off balance right now and as you exhale,
Release any frustration or tension you may be holding on to,
Letting go of the pressure to focus perfectly.
Now just let your breath find its own steady rhythm.
Now bring your awareness to your body,
Feel the air on your skin,
The gentle weight of your body resting and the surface beneath you supporting you fully.
Take a moment to notice how you're feeling without judgment.
It's easy to get frustrated when focus is elusive,
But in this moment there's no need to force anything,
Simply allow yourself to be here exactly as you are.
As you breathe,
Bring your attention to your head,
Where your thoughts might be bouncing around or your mind feels cluttered,
Visualize those scattered thoughts as if there are clouds in the sky,
Drifting,
Shifting and eventually passing by.
Inhale deeply,
Bringing this clarity and fresh energy to your mind.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any mental noise or distractions that are pulling you away from your center.
Just allow your thoughts to quiet down naturally.
Your mind,
Like the rest of your body,
Needs moments to rest,
Reset and recalibrate.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale release any pressure to be 100% focused right now.
Now imagine yourself standing by a calm,
Clear lake.
The surface of the water is perfectly still,
Reflecting the sky above.
Your thoughts,
Like ripples in the water,
Are gradually settling,
Leaving the surface smooth and clear.
With every breath,
Feel your mind becoming more like this peaceful lake,
Calm,
Still and focused.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your body with this peaceful sense of calm and focus and exhale,
Releasing any scattered energy.
There is nothing you need to chase right now.
Focus will come naturally,
In its own time.
Trust that like the clear lake,
Your mind will settle and your thoughts will align with your intentions.
And now bring your awareness back to your body and just rest and relax.
Notice the steady rhythm of your breath,
Your feet grounded on the earth and the calm energy flowing through you.
You are centered,
You are grounded and you are clear.
Take one last deep breath and as you exhale,
Release any lingering distraction or doubt.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes and return to the present moment,
Carrying with you a sense of calm,
Clarity and trust in your ability to focus.
Namaste.
