At that moment,
Address yourself.
Breathe.
Welcome.
How have you been feeling today?
What is really present for you?
Sometimes when we honestly check in with ourselves,
Ask ourselves how we are doing.
What we find is a genuine sense of fear,
Of sadness or uncertainty.
Sometimes what we find is that we've been avoiding feeling the truth of our emotions and allowing them to move through us.
Sometimes we may not know what to do with our feelings,
How to handle them with gentle hands.
Sometimes in life we are sitting with a question and we may find ourselves turning this question around and around in our minds,
Looking for a peace that our mind does not know to give.
Sometimes in life our minds are our loudest companions and they play predictable patterns and records,
Repeating over and over,
Despite our desires for something new,
Something to give us rest.
Dear one,
What would it be like to find the rest that you are looking for?
What would it be like to allow yourself to feel?
What would it be like to find peace by turning to your own heart?
I invite you to see if you can allow your emotions to be present in your body as they are.
Breathe.
I invite you to see if you can allow yourself to be inside any question that you may be in,
To allow this question to be here and to hold it as sacred.
Take a deep breath in and hold.
Slowly exhale and hold.
Release.
Allow yourself to breathe at your natural pace.
And I invite you to notice the sensations that you feel in your body.
Notice your shoulders.
Notice your neck and head.
Notice your jaw.
Allow your jaw to relax.
Notice your back.
Notice your hips.
Notice your legs.
See if you can allow your body to relax.
Notice the rising and falling of your breath.
Notice the movement of your breath in your chest.
Notice the space inside your chest.
Notice your heart.
Feel for its beating.
Pause and with openness and curiosity,
I invite you to listen deeply for its wisdom.
Here is your guide.
Here is your wise counsel.
Your heart is ever present for you to turn to with your questions,
Your fears,
Your sadness and your emotions.
Whatever it is you may be going through,
You have within yourself divine connection.
Whatever it is you may be going through,
You have within your heart an endless source of stability and calm.
Feel your heart's willingness to listen,
To embrace,
To hold,
And to soothe whatever it is you may be going through.
Feel your heart's invitation to lay down the weight you have been carrying and to let yourself be loved,
Be accepted,
Be loved.
What does your heart say to you?
What message do you hear and feel in the presence and strength of your heart?
Breathe.
Feel your inhale.
Feel your exhale.
You might place your hand on your chest.
Allow yourself to feel whatever it is that comes up for you.
Allow yourself to hold it as sacred.
Breathe.
Be loved.
Allow yourself to notice that there is a space for you here,
A space for you to be seen.
To be heard.
To be accepted.
To be loved.
No matter where you are in your journey,
Here is a heart who loves you and who guides you.
Here is a heart who has room to hold all of your experience.
Here is a heart with wisdom from your soul.
Notice the invitation to savor,
To delight,
To cherish you.
Notice the magnificence of your own love.
Here is the rest you have been looking for and that you will continue to have available to you whenever you choose.
And turning to your heart.
