Today on Wholehearted,

Return to self-love.

Number one,

Breathe.

Welcome home.

It's been said that our first love and our last love is self-love.

We move through life and we often neglect ourselves,

Neglect our needs,

Our wishes,

Putting other priorities higher than ourselves.

We often turn outside to the people in our lives to feel loved,

Appreciated,

Accepted,

To feel whole.

We often look to our accomplishments,

The roles that we play,

Our to-do lists,

Our circumstances,

And the life we have built for ourselves.

We're a sense of peace,

A sense that we are enough,

That we are okay because of the way that we exist in the world.

We often reject the pieces of ourselves that we deem unworthy of love,

Of compassion,

Of grace,

The parts we are uncomfortable to see,

To sit with,

And to be with.

We often go through life striving for our light and rejecting our dark,

Scared of what we might find if we sit with ourselves and embrace whatever shows itself to us to be loved.

We often refuse to love ourselves here and now as if admitting our imperfect perfection would crash our determined plans for growth.

Of improvement,

Of our becoming.

What would happen if you were to give yourself space,

To rest,

To let go,

To embrace?

Going through life can feel like an endless loop,

A search for the deep satisfaction of being held,

By life,

By love.

Going through life can feel like an endless striving,

Like turning our wheels for a future at which we are certain we will find what we are looking for.

Our own infinite love.

How have you been treating yourself?

When was the last time you felt love for you?

From you.

When was the last time you simply sat with yourself?

Just to be with you and allowed yourself to see whatever comes up for you,

Allowed yourself to feel,

Without looking to change it or fix it?

When was the last time that you held space for your wholeness,

Your light and your dark,

Your process and your unfolding?

When was the last time you listened for the lessons in you?

When was the last time you felt loved from your own heart,

Free of any requirements that make you worthy of love?

What reservations saved for another moment,

When you are more put together,

More desirable or deserving?

What would it feel like to unconditionally love you?

I invite you to place one hand on your heart and another on your abdomen.

Breathe.

Notice your inhale and your exhale.

Feel your heartbeat.

What does it say?

Keep breathing at your natural pace and I invite you to consider and open your heart to the vastness of who you are.

Feel the rising and falling of your breath.

Notice the texture of your inhale,

The relaxation of your exhale.

What have you been carrying around?

What emotion have you been avoiding feeling?

What is it that you've been unwilling to accept about yourself?

What do you notice in your body?

What do you feel?

Where do you feel it?

Can you allow it to be there?

Notice whatever sensations occur and notice what it would be like to be the observer of whatever it is you are feeling.

In holding space,

What if you allowed it to stay?

What if you held it as sacred,

As beautiful?

What if you treated it like you would treat a child who simply is looking for your love?

What if you held it with love and grace?

What if you were to love that which is there for you to love?

For no other reason than it is there.

Take a deep breath in and notice the fullness and stillness in your being.

This space.

You are beautiful.

You are infinite.

Feel your hand on your heart.

Here is your love,

Your powerful heart.

The one that doesn't run dry,

The one that doesn't leave you,

The one that sees you in your greatness and your weakness,

Your vulnerability and your strength.

The one whose only aim is to cherish you,

To guide you to your joy.

Who is forgiveness,

Compassion,

Peace.

Who is joy,

Passion,

Admiration.

Whose strength is deep and wide.

Whose power is fierce and gentle.

This love is the open space for all that you are.

Dear one,

Breathe.

Feel your inhale.

Feel your exhale.

Release.

Breathe.

I love you.

Can you say these words and allow them to be true?

I love you.

Feel the power in these words,

The grace and nourishment.

I love you.

Be with yourself in the way you have been most longing for.

I love you.

Feel your own heart and share the words you get to share with you.

Words of forgiveness,

Healing,

Tenderness,

Words of appreciation,

Acknowledgement,

Joy.

Here is your heart,

Ready to fuel you and sustain you.

Ready to love you from beginning to end,

From the inside out.

Our first love and our last love is self-love.

Welcome home.

This resonated with me reminding us to love ourselves. So simple but easily neglected. Really well put together with the music being there at the right moments while not getting in the way of the sincerely delivered message. Many thanks Sarah πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜ŠπŸŽΆπŸ’—
