And let's begin.
First bringing attention to body.
And recognizing that all our body can do all it can accomplish and the opportunity for some gratitude and self care and doing this by simply bringing your attention to body and how you're seated.
Having feet flat upon the floor and maybe even pushing down a little bit into your feet.
Now through the soles of our feet,
We can create a literal experience of grounding.
Danny Arguetty.
Stability,
Recognizing stability can sometimes be a bit of a.
A trap of sorts,
But in this case,
The sense may be grounded is a better word here.
Just feeling that sense of support,
Maybe that's a word to go with,
That feeling supported in this moment by the floor.
And then feeling the chair supported upon thighs and bottom.
And then inviting a spine,
A gentle rising up of spine towards sky.
Shoulders,
A few shoulder rolls to ease the tension,
Inviting a loosening and lowering of shoulders and torso.
Arms draping down.
Hands either comfortably resting upon thighs or cupped within lap,
A comfortable resting place for hands.
Head supported atop spine and shoulders.
Inviting a loosening of jaw.
And eyes either opened or closed,
Whichever you prefer in this moment.
Settling into a posture balancing gentleness to body and wakefulness to mind.
And then a slow moving of attention through body,
Checking in of sorts,
So down at the toes and feet.
Just noticing what sensations are found within toes and feet.
Then attention moving up through calves,
Thighs,
And hips.
Continual checking into body in this moment.
Bringing your attention further upwards,
Across.
The torso,
So a region of pelvis,
Abdomen,
And chest.
Just noticing,
Not needing to do anything,
Just checking in with body.
Danny Arguetty.
Forearms and hands.
Just checking in with Bonnie.
Danny Arguetty.
Back of head.
Around the sides of the face.
And then up to crown.
A coming home of sorts to body,
How we exist and connect to our world.
And then allowing attention come to rest upon the sensations of body breathing.
Perhaps feeling the rise and fall of chest and belly.
Danny Arguetty.
And allowing these sensations of body breathing to be a way of inviting full attention into this moment in its body.
And recognizing that at some point focus will drift off.
Commonly into some sort of thoughts,
Maybe.
Memories of the past.
Worries of the future.
And that's okay.
That's just what our minds do.
Our minds will time travel.
In some ways sets the beauty of our mind's ability to.
Stay in time.
We also have the capacity within mind to intentionally direct our attention back into the space time of here.
And using the breath as a invitation to come back into here now.
Simply feeling,
Body,
Breathing.
Breath.
I breath.
Moment by moment.
And for the attitude of mindfulness we're exploring today,
The breath becomes a wonderful partner.
And exploring trust or trusting.
And mindfulness.
Trusting is about there is a There are these natural processes in our lives.
Phenomenon unfolds at.
Their own pace.
And sometimes we want to rush something to either start sooner and more quickly.
And again,
That's a human tendency and trade.
It's not right,
Wrong,
Or indifferent,
Just is.
And inviting in this trusting of process to happen at its own pace.
And I find body breathing to be a wonderful metaphor for this.
So while the inhale takes some effort to occur,
We have to expand,
Relax our diaphragm and open up our chest and abdomen for the inhale to occur.
Exhale simply happens.
We don't have to force it.
We don't have to make it happen.
And even more broadly,
How our breathing adjusts to what our body needs in the moment.
We're calm and quiet,
It tends to be at a slow,
Easy pace.
If we're exerting ourselves through some activity,
Then it begins to pick up.
This homeostasis is one of the marvels of our physiology.
And how this trust in our body will breathe as needed can be an opportunity to practice and trusting this unfolding in other areas of our lives.
By tuning into body breathing,
It can be a way to reinforce and practice.
Trusting process.
Unfold as it naturally unfolds.
And how to partner with that.
Tuning into and feeling the full inhale.
I'm a pod.
And the exhale simply happening as a way of.
Strengthening the attitude of trusting.
Is with all the other attitudes,
How they reinforce each other.
Sometimes impatience may interfere with trusting.
And so inviting in a little patience with things unfolding at their own rate,
Not my rate,
Not where I need them to be.
If I feel the need to control the unfolding of something,
Then letting go is a wonderful attitude,
Inviting in this moment.
Suspending,
Striving as well.
So all of these attitudes start to reinforce each other into a greater whole,
Another way of showing up to my life.
And in this moment,
Coming back again to.
Practicing.
Trust.
Perhaps even in this moment,
Inviting into our awareness,
Where do I seem challenged in?
Practicing trusting in my life?
Where do I want to rush something to a certain outcome?
Or perhaps impose a different outcome than the natural tendency.
Reflecting on that and exploring the possibility of inviting trusting when I encounter this phenomenon today in my life.
For this experience.
Another good metaphor for trusting is water flowing.
It'll always get to where it needs to go.
Source to its final home.
Or to be like to bring the.
.
.
Sense of water into my life,
A sense of trusting flow.
Always have the option to simply come back to body breathing.
Resettle,
Reground,
Refocus.
As we near the end of this meditation,
Considering the possibility of inviting this exploration of trusting into your day.
Especially if there's moments you feel stuck or confused.
Or challenged.
What natural process may be unfolding to partner with?
Going with the flow.
Of your eyes were closed,
Opening your eyes in this moment,
Visually reconnecting with your surroundings.
And as a way to bring some flow back in,
A little gentle movement flowing from stillness back into activity,
But from this place of exploring trusting.
Always a pleasure hanging out with you all.
So thank you all.
Appreciate your presence and be well until we meet again.
