Welcome to today's sacred pause.
An opportunity and invitation to pause,
To return and to remember the stillness within you.
So let's begin today by finding a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down,
Whatever allows your body to feel supported and at ease.
If it feels safe,
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your jaw soften.
Let your hands rest wherever they naturally want to land.
There's nowhere to go,
Nothing to figure out and nothing to fix.
There is just this moment,
Just this breath.
So begin to notice your breathing,
Not trying to change it,
Not controlling it.
Simply noticing and feel the rise and fall of your breath as it moves through your body.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Like a gentle wave,
Always arriving,
Always retreating.
As you breathe,
Allow yourself to settle more deeply into stillness.
Notice the support beneath you,
The cushion,
The chair,
The ground holding you up.
Feel gravity anchoring you,
Inviting you downward into rest.
You don't have to hold yourself upright now.
Let the earth do that for you.
Take a few deeper breaths now.
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling slowly through the mouth,
Allowing each exhale to carry away some of the tension that may be lingering in your body.
Releasing the shoulders,
Releasing the neck,
Letting the belly soften,
The face soften.
With each breath arriving more fully into this moment,
This is a sacred pause.
A moment in time where you can give yourself permission to stop doing and simply be.
To step out of the momentum of the day and return to the quiet truth inside you.
Bring more of your awareness inward as if you're drawing your attention from the outside world and turning gently toward your inner world.
There is a quietness here,
A stillness beneath the thoughts,
Beneath the emotions,
Beneath the stories.
Can you feel that stillness?
Even if your mind is still busy,
That's okay.
You don't need perfect silence in your thoughts to feel inner stillness.
You're not trying to silence the mind,
You're simply choosing not to follow it.
So thoughts may pass like clouds drifting across the sky.
Let them come and let them go.
Bring your awareness now to the space between your thoughts,
That soft spacious gap.
That's where the silence lives.
Let yourself breathe there.
You might begin to notice a kind of subtle presence,
Something unchanging beneath the changing sensations and thoughts.
A sense of stillness,
A quiet observer,
A gentle awareness.
And that presence is you,
The deeper you.
And in this moment there is nothing you need to do to access it.
Just rest in your breath and awareness.
Let's sit in this quiet presence together now.
A few minutes of simply being,
Feeling the breath,
Feeling the stillness within.
You're in the pause now.
And in this pause there is healing.
In the silence,
There is wisdom.
In the stillness,
There is enoughness.
Let yourself bathe in the stillness.
Let it settle over you like a soft blanket.
Let it reach the parts of you that feel overstimulated,
Overwhelmed or unseen.
You don't have to try so hard right now.
You don't have to do anything but be here.
You might bring your hand to your heart if it feels comfortable.
Just a simple reassuring touch and a reminder.
I am here.
I am whole.
I am held.
Let those words echo gently through your body.
And now slowly and tenderly begin to return.
Feel the weight of your body again.
Feel the breath moving.
Sense the space around you.
The sounds in the distance.
Temperature of the air.
Take one more nourishing inhale and a long,
Slow exhale.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Maybe stretch your body if that feels good.
And when you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open,
Allowing the light to return slowly.
You've just touched something sacred.
A still,
Quiet place within you that is always available.
Even in the busiest moments of life,
This stillness remains.
Carry it with you as you move through your day.
Thank you for taking this time to pause.
And thank you for being here.
