Welcome.
To begin,
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Whether that's seated or lying down.
Choose what allows your body to feel both at ease and supported.
You might gently close your eyes or soften your gaze toward the floor.
And bring your attention to the simple act of arriving here.
Feel the contact between your body and the surface beneath you,
The support that's holding you without effort.
And let's take three deep intentional breaths together.
Breathe in slowly through the nose,
Feeling your lungs expand.
Hold for just a second.
And exhale softly through the mouth as though releasing a long sigh.
Again,
Inhale fully,
Drawing in the freshness of this moment.
Hold for a moment.
And exhale,
Letting go of any tension,
Thoughts,
Or obligations.
One more deep breath in,
Filling your body with presence.
And exhale,
Settling deeper into stillness.
For the next few minutes,
There is nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be.
And this time is for you.
So let your breath find a steady,
Unhurried rhythm.
Simply notice the inhale and the exhale,
Like waves moving in and out.
With each breath in,
Imagine drawing in calmness,
Clarity,
And space.
With each breath out,
Imagine letting go of anything heavy.
Tension in the body,
Loops of thought,
Subtle resistance or restlessness.
And bring awareness to the top of your head.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light resting there,
Soothing and gentle.
And with your next breath,
Feel this light begin to slowly move downward.
It moves across your forehead,
Smoothing away any tightness.
Over your eyes,
Releasing the tiny muscles around them.
Across your cheeks,
Softening.
Over your jaw,
Letting it unclench,
Allowing the tongue to rest gently in your mouth.
The light continues into your neck and shoulders,
Melting away stiffness,
Inviting them to drop a little further away from your ears.
It moves down your arms,
To your elbows,
Wrists,
And into your hands,
All the way to the tips of your fingers.
From your shoulders,
It flows down through your chest and upper back,
Loosening the muscles between your ribs,
Allowing your breath to feel deeper and more spacious.
Into your belly,
Soft,
Warm,
And at ease.
Down through your hips,
Thighs,
Knees.
Into your calves,
Ankles,
And the soles of your feet.
Your whole body now resting,
Open and receptive.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine you're standing now in a vast,
Open landscape.
The air is fresh,
Crisp like the early morning,
Yet gentle on your skin.
Perhaps you smell pine,
The scent of earth,
Or the salt of a nearby ocean breeze.
The sky stretches infinitely above you,
Painted with the soft colors of dawn.
The sense of quiet surrounds you.
No rush,
No demands,
Only the sound of your own breathing.
In your hand,
You notice a small,
Weathered compass.
This is your inner compass,
A symbol of the guidance that lives within you.
It's been with you always,
Though sometimes it's been hidden beneath noise,
Busyness,
And the voice of others.
Feel the compass in your palm,
Cool metal against your skin,
Solid and grounding.
Notice its details,
The shape,
The markings,
The way the needle moves with subtle precision.
Take a slow breath and silently ask,
Show me my true north.
The needle begins to shift,
At first slowly and then with growing certainty,
Until it settles,
Pointing in a clear direction.
As you look where it points,
You see a path stretching into the distance.
Perhaps it winds through a forest,
Climbs a gentle hill,
Or leads toward a distant light.
You begin to walk.
With each step,
The path feels familiar,
As though you've walked it before in dreams or in moments of deep intuition.
As you walk,
Notice what's around you,
The colours,
The textures,
The sounds.
This path reflects the essence of your own truth,
The values,
Dreams,
And deeper calling that guide you when you listen closely.
Somewhere along the path you pause.
You place the compass over your heart,
Feeling it rest there.
And in that stillness,
You sense the truth it's pointing to.
Not an external destination,
But a way of being that is deeply aligned.
It might arrive as an image,
A word,
A sensation,
Or simply a feeling of yes.
Allow it to arise without forcing it.
Stay here for several breaths and listen deeply.
Now silently affirm,
I trust the wisdom within me.
I walk the path that is mine to walk.
I am guided from within.
Feel these words settle into you,
Like seeds planted in rich soil.
They will grow and guide you,
Even when you're not consciously thinking about them.
Begin to now bring your awareness back to this present space.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The support holding your body.
Notice the temperature of the air,
The sounds in the room,
The rhythm of your breath.
Take a deep breath in,
Imagining that inner compass shining brightly in your heart.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself grounded here now,
Carrying that sense of direction with you.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Know that your true north is always available to you,
As close as your next breath.
