Welcome.
This is a space to come home to yourself,
To your body,
To your energy,
To your edge.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Perhaps on a cushion or a chair,
Somewhere your spine can be upright yet relaxed,
Your feet grounded,
And your shoulders free to drop.
Take a few moments to arrive,
Letting your seat support you,
Let your hands rest on your thighs or in your lap,
Let your breath begin to find its own rhythm,
Allow your eyes to soften or close if that feels right.
The outside world can quiet now as you begin to tune inward toward the living landscape of your body and feel this truth,
You are here,
In this body,
In this moment.
Each breath drawing you home a little more,
No rush,
Just arrival.
Begin by sensing your physical form,
Feel the weight of your bones,
The temperature of your skin,
The gentle movement of your breath,
And slowly let your awareness travel from the crown of your head,
Down through your face and neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your pelvis,
Your legs,
And your feet,
And this body belongs to you,
This is your home.
Now begin to sense the edge of your physical body,
The place where your skin meets the air,
Trace your outline in awareness,
The surface of your arms,
The outline of your shoulders,
The shape of your face,
Almost as though you're gently feeling your silhouette from the inside.
Now extend your awareness just beyond the skin,
An inch or two into the air around you,
Can you sense the subtle boundary where your presence meets the world,
The air has a texture,
There is a space between you and what surrounds you,
And this is your energetic edge.
Each of us has a field of energy,
A soft membrane that surrounds and contains our life force,
You might imagine it as a gentle cocoon or a luminous dome extending just beyond the body,
This is your space,
It belongs only to you.
Let yourself scan this field slowly as though your awareness were hands moving through water,
You might feel tingling,
Warmth,
Coolness or a gentle resistance,
Whatever you notice is welcome,
No need to interpret,
Just listen.
And now imagine your energetic field like a soft bubble around you,
Extending roughly an arm's length in all directions,
You're not cutting yourself off from life,
You're remembering your own edges,
Where you end and where the world begins.
Let your breath fill your entire space,
Inhale expanding gently from your center to the edge of your field,
And the exhale settling back into yourself,
Inhale expanding,
Exhale resting.
Repeat this for a few slow breaths,
If your energy has been scattered,
Reaching outward or tangled in others,
You can gently call it back,
Each inhale gathers your awareness home,
Each exhale helps you land more fully here,
Like a silk thread weaving inward,
Your energy returns to its rightful place.
Now begin to sense the quality of your edge,
Does it feel open and clear,
Porous or leaky,
Collapsed or too far out,
Or maybe solid,
Rigid and dense,
There's no right or wrong,
It's just information.
If you sense holes in this energetic boundary,
You might imagine weaving them closed with threads of light.
If your edge feels tight or rigid,
Pushing the world away,
You might have invited to expand with care and softness,
This boundary breathes,
It feels,
It knows.
Now place a hand on your belly and one on your heart,
And feel your breath move between them,
The axis of your center,
Here lives your home frequency,
Your clarity,
Your truth.
Silently say to yourself,
I know who I am,
I know what is mine,
I honor my edge,
I am safe to inhabit my space.
Let these words ripple through you,
Now imagine your energetic boundary becomes luminous,
Not a wall but a living membrane of light,
It lets in what nourishes,
It filters what distorts,
You might see it glowing gold or soft blue or violet,
Whatever feels right to you.
Sense this light around you,
Front and back,
Above and below,
All around.
This is the boundary of your being,
A sacred container,
A sovereign space.
Now come back to the simple rhythm of your breath,
Inhaling through your nose,
Exhaling through your mouth if that feels good,
Feel your seat beneath you,
Your spine upright and alive,
Your energy clear and contained,
You are allowed to take up space,
You are allowed to know where you end and where others begin,
Let this be your anchor,
Let this be your home.
When you feel ready,
Begin to move gently,
Maybe roll your shoulders,
Stretch your hands,
Feel your feet on the ground,
And slowly open your eyes,
Notice how it feels to be here,
Presence,
Clear and whole,
May this felt sense of your edge stay with you,
Like a soft cloak of clarity as you move through the rest of your day.
Thank you.
