Good morning.
Hi,
This is Orla and this is a quick meditation to help take care of our hearts before our school day.
So you can begin by allowing yourself to be aware of your body,
Just where it is.
So aware of your seat sitting and coming all the way down to your toes.
You can give them a little wiggle to see if you're really in your toes,
Coming all the way into your fingers of your right hand and left hand.
Give them a little wiggle to see if you're there.
And you can sense your whole body warm and alive,
Maybe open,
Curious,
Maybe feeling a little anxious or excited about the day.
And we practice to take care of our heart just as it is.
So whatever we feel,
We allow it to belong.
You can sense the area of your heart,
Sensing your lovely,
Kind heart,
Knowing that it has been such a good friend to you.
It's helped you when you felt a little sad or cross or worried.
And your heart is here to help you today.
So that as you move through your school day,
Even though it might be a little bit unknown,
A little bit experimental,
That your heart can help take good care of you.
So you can imagine if there was a beautiful light in folding your heart,
Maybe in your favorite color today.
Whatever kind of color would be a good fit for you today.
Allow it to unfold your heart and then kind of to expand like a lovely egg shape to unfold your whole being.
So that you're resting within this lovely light egg that can keep you safe and protected through the day.
You know,
You have a lot of resources,
A lot of wisdom,
A lot of care,
The ability to listen and to speak.
There's so many ways that you can help to take really good care of yourself and each other.
So today,
May we have time to play and learn and laugh and feel that we belong,
That we're really connected.
To let our hearts feel at ease and happy.
And when school is over,
May we let go of any difficult moments,
We can just kind of take them off the way we take off our coat and let them go so that we can be bright and fresh for the rest of our day.
So I wish you a lovely day ahead and take good care of yourselves.
Thanks so much.
