Intention.
It is a commonly used word and has powerful meaning to many.
Some people set daily intentions or use an intention board or journal to help manifest desires and goals.
I often speak of intentional living when I discuss accepting the flow of life.
But the first dictionary entry for intention is an idea that you plan or intend to carry out,
Which defines the aim of this meditation.
I will be offering a visualization practice.
Studies show that visualization is a powerful method toward reducing stress,
Manifesting happiness,
Achieving goals,
And more.
It is just one of the many tools we can use to access the strong influence of the mind on our journey toward overall health and inner peace.
This meditation visualization is referred to as a maka,
A picture of a specific intention or goal you have for yourself.
The idea of this practice is to create an image of your desire,
Ground it into the earth,
Remove your own energetic ties to it,
And then release it out to the universe.
Welcome your imagination and desire.
Breathe in deeply a couple of times down to your root and push the breath back out again,
Freeing any stress or tension lingering within.
And then settle into your own comfortable space,
Comfortable breath,
And close your eyes if possible.
Now time to formulate the intention.
This should be a specific idea,
Something you would like to attain or achieve or have occur.
It should be your intention that you will experience.
You can include others,
But the ultimate goal should be about you,
For you.
You are the star of this visualization.
For example,
Instead of creating the intention of your child graduating from college,
Replace it with the visualization of you raising the funds to help them pay for college.
Intention should also be positive.
So take time to create.
It should be very specific and clear.
Once you have a concrete idea for your intention,
Make it into an image,
A picture,
Or some representation of the intention.
Now create this image with as much detail as you can.
Are there people or animals within this intention?
Have you added colors?
What things or objects surround your image?
The image should be as real and as comprehensive as you are able.
In your mind's eye,
Really look and see this image.
Can you relate to it?
Does it make sense to you?
Is it clear?
If it seems to be morphing or changing,
Go back and reformulate the idea.
It should feel right.
Now with the image clearly before you,
Take a deep breath in and release.
Using your visualization,
Create a bubble or clear balloon around your intention image.
Really see it being created.
The shape should be just large enough to fit around your image and let this occur easily without too much thought.
Observe this image bubble floating before you.
Your intention is contained safely within this frame.
From this bubble that holds your intention,
Create and drop a grounding cord from the base or bottom of this bubble.
A grounding cord is a hollow cord that connects an object or person to the earth.
Allow this cord that you have attached to your bubble to drop through the floor,
Then through the ground and descend completely into the earth's layers until it reaches the fiery inner core at the center of Mother Earth.
Take your time and really see this occurring.
Your visualization,
Your bubble is now grounded and tethered to the earth.
Clearly notice the image within this bubble.
Identify each part of your image.
Feel confident this is what you desire.
Your visualization is a bubble containing the image of your intention or goal.
The bubble has a hollow open grounding cord at its base which connects it to the earth.
With your visualization and thought,
Allow the energy from within this bubble to drain out and exit straight down through the grounding cord to be deposited into the center of the earth.
You can decide how you make this occur.
Perhaps you will see all color drain from the picture or any movement within the bubble stops or perhaps a haze passes over the image and disseminates down through the cord.
However you choose to visualize it,
Know that the energy is draining out.
Do understand that you are not releasing the image itself but the intention is just to release the energy held within the image.
This is the energy that you and others may have invested in this goal.
Send these feelings down with the energy so the intention bubble is just a picture now without a psychic connection.
The energy that you have drained from this bubble will be received by Mother Earth and repurposed safely.
The earth will not be harmed from this process.
If you are a part of this image,
If you created yourself in the image,
Take yourself out.
Remove yourself from this picture.
I often observe myself jumping out of the bubble just for fun.
Now slowly using your mind's eye and your ability to visualize,
Refill this bubble with a neutral gold energy.
Illuminate this bubble which holds the image with golden light.
You may fill it from bottom up or top down or have the golden light appear within instantly.
The golden light will remain in the bubble and will not drain out through the cord.
You have re-energized your intention visualization and can release it out to the universe.
So it is now time to free the bubble.
In any way you wish,
Cut the grounding cord so that the bubble is no longer connected to the earth.
Once you cut the cord the connection will be dissolved.
The bubble will slowly float up into the sky,
The cosmos,
The heavens,
The universe,
And out of your sight.
Observe it as it floats away.
If it is meant for you it will return in its time.
You have released your bubble,
Lifted the control of maintaining this intention.
Though the intention and goal are still yours,
The burden of fulfillment is lifted.
You can now share this with the universe.
Notice a bright golden Sun appear above your head.
Allow the golden light of this Sun to enter through your crown and fill in your entire body,
Re-energizing you,
Offering you lightness and peace.
When your entire body is light-filled,
Open your eyes,
Stretch and move,
Take in some deep breaths and smile.
Repeat this visualization frequently as often as you can and let me know how it goes.
