Hello,
This is Gina.
Together,
Let's float to a time of rest.
Try not to think of sleep,
But keep your focus on the relaxation of your mind and allow your body to follow along.
Before beginning,
Take a moment to stretch,
A time for your body to release excess tension and energy.
Honor any restrictions you may have and follow as is best for you.
Stretch your arms up from your shoulders,
Reaching.
Roll your hands on your wrists and move and stretch your fingers fully.
Curve and shift your spine and torso,
Going forward and back.
Extend fully and stretch out your legs and roll your feet on your ankles.
Then include any other movements or stretches or exercises that feel necessary.
When you feel sufficiently stretched,
Cleanse internally with a couple of slow,
Deep breaths and release them with the force that feels right.
Find your comfortable position,
Preferably lying down in darkness,
Covering your eyes if that helps.
If you are lying,
Sense the back of your head on the pillow or bed surface and adjust your body so that you have comfort on your neck and eliminate as much pain,
Pressure,
Discomfort as you can by shifting your position or utilizing pillows or blankets to adjust your body as you need.
Notice each part of your body that is in connection to the bed,
The floor,
The couch,
Or above you to the sheet or the blanket.
Know that you are supported,
Contained,
And kept safe by these comforts.
Move around gently and feel that stability and then settle into a quieter state.
You are supported in this rest.
You are supported in this rest.
You are safe in this space.
You are safe in this space.
Peace lies within this rest.
Peace lies within this rest.
Imagine watching your breath as you inhale into your belly and observe it leaving out your nostrils or through the top of your head.
Feel the increase of support from the bed surface as you exhale and let go.
Inhale to your belly,
Exhale through your head.
You are supported in this rest.
You are supported in this rest.
You are safe in this space.
You are safe in this space.
Peace lies within this rest.
Peace lies within this rest.
In your mind's eye,
Notice darkness that is above you,
An inky black sky.
See this gentle cover of sky fill the ceiling of your room.
It offers peace and you accept the darkness as an opening to rest,
To sleep.
If thoughts emerge,
As they often do,
Imagine placing them into a bubble of your creation.
The bubble can be any size,
But it is light and airy and will move easily to your will.
Send these thought bubbles up through and past your night sky to travel into the heavens to be saved for you when rest is completed.
Now slowly and gently sense the dark sky descending,
Sinking down from above.
Notice how each exhalation brings this peaceful sky down closer to you.
In your time,
Let the sky melt down gently,
Touching and alighting upon you.
Allow it to wrap you in its softness,
Envelop you,
Support you and provide you a peaceful space for rest.
You are supported in this rest.
You are safe in this space.
You are safe in this space.
Peace lies within this rest.
Peace lies within this rest.
Peace lies within this rest.
Take comfort in this blanket of peace which surrounds you.
Allow the music to cradle you with security and calm as you slowly journey into rest.
