Forgiveness,
Written and guided meditation by Laura Gallagher,
Place in the Middle.
Close your eyes and begin to turn to your breath.
Allow your shoulders to soften away from your ears.
Allowing your shoulders to open and be open and not closed or hunched forward.
As you inhale and exhale,
Imagine you open up your heart even more by breathing into your heart center.
See if you can soften the outer edges of your heart a little bit more.
Breathing in and out here,
If it helps,
You can place your hands onto your heart.
Today I choose forgiveness.
I choose to forgive those who've wronged me and for those whom I've wronged.
Imagine yourself forgiving.
Imagine someone you would like to forgive.
Imagine what you would say and how you would feel.
Imagine how much lighter your heart feels,
All of the heaviness lifted.
What does it feel like to forgive this person?
Now imagine sending this person love.
Send them not only love but also abundance.
Imagine this person receiving it and feeling it.
How does it make them feel?
How does it make them feel?
How does it make you feel?
Breathe deeply into your heart center a little bit more,
Allowing yourself to soften even more softly.
Let go of carrying any more weight on your shoulders.
Now imagine forgiving yourself.
Think of a time where you've needed forgiveness from something you've done or said.
Take a deep breath in.
Take a deep breath out.
Let it go with your breath.
Say the word silently to yourself,
I forgive you.
You no longer need to hold on to this heavy breath.
You just need to breathe in and out.
You no longer need to hold on to this heaviness in your heart.
You no longer need to carry this burden.
Now imagine your heart full of love to yourself and abundance.
Let your heart fully embrace your forgiveness.
How does this make you feel?
I choose to forgive.
I choose to let go.
I choose to be free.
I choose love and abundance.
Breathe into your heart center even more,
Feeling all of the love and space you've created.
Now send all of this love out into the world to your friends,
Family,
Spouse,
Co-workers,
Neighbors.
Let them also choose to forgive.
Forgive.
Forgive yourself.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Forgive others.
Breathe into the heart.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
