Let it go.
Written and guided meditation by Laura Gallagher placed in the middle.
Make yourself into a comfortable seated position.
If you're in a chair,
Allow your feet to touch the ground.
If you're in a cross-legged position,
Inner-rotate your thighs.
Let your sit bones connect to the earth.
Allow your spine to be nice and tall.
Shimmy for a moment from hip to hip to allow yourself to let go in through both hips.
Close your eyes and begin to turn inward.
Notice your breath.
Is it fast or is it slow?
Is it shallow or is it deep?
Now begin to deepen your breath even more.
Allow your exhales to become longer than your inhales.
Imagine yourself sitting on a beautiful tall mountain.
You're surrounded by lush forests and you can see for miles and miles across a lake,
More trees and past some rocky hills.
The wind blows softly through your hair as the sun gently tickles your forehead.
You begin to notice the birds and other animals nestled in their homes,
Busy catching the next food source and how easy it looks for them,
Naturally ebbing and flowing in their hearts,
Moving with grace and freedom,
Living effortlessly effortless.
It's like the animals have completely let go of control.
They let go of any expectations and give themselves up to the universe,
Trusting.
You've realized now that this is why you are here.
It is now your turn to begin to let go.
You take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
In this moment,
You decide to let go.
You let go of all the things that weigh so heavily on your heart.
You let go of all the burdens you've carried on your shoulders all of these years.
You let go of all your self-worth of not being enough or doing enough.
You let go of trying to wear all the hats in all the right places.
You let go of past relationships and past people who gave you heartache and heartbreak.
You let go of childhood memories that left scars and memories of fear.
You let go of regret and indecision.
You let go of people who wronged you and the people you wronged.
You let go.
You kept letting go until your heart felt peace and your shoulders felt weightless.
You let go in through your hips and created space.
You just kept letting go.
Then you forgave.
You thanked and forgave each person,
Place or thing that you let go of.
You became grateful.
For each thing you let go of left a lesson,
A teaching and a gift.
You let go.
You forgave.
You became grateful.
You let go.
You forgave.
You became grateful.
You let go.
You forgave.
You became grateful.
Thank you.
