Grounding Meditation by Laura Gallagher Place in the middle.
Sit comfortably on the floor,
A cushion or a chair.
If you're seated in a chair,
Make sure your feet are firmly planted into the earth.
Close your eyes and begin to turn inward.
Use your breath in this moment to ground you,
To connect you to the earth.
Let your exhales start to become longer than your inhales.
As you inhale,
Lengthen.
And as you exhale,
Ground down.
Imagine that as you exhale,
You ground yourself from your pelvis,
Rooting your breath down past your sitz bones.
Ground past your thighs,
Knees,
Shins,
Ankles,
Feet.
Bring yourself down below the surface you're sitting on,
Past the floor,
Past the earth,
All the way past the soil,
Rocks,
To the core of the earth.
And as you inhale,
Breathe up from the core of the earth,
Rocks,
Soil,
Floor,
Up past your feet,
Ankles,
Shins,
Thighs,
And pelvis.
Breathing with the earth.
Keep breathing this way,
Grounding and rooting yourself.
You are part of the earth.
Connected,
Rooted,
Grounded,
Embedded,
Secured.
Allow yourself to stay rooted and grounded as you continue to breathe in and out.
Breathing in and out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Take a nice long,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Release it.
Take another long,
Deep breath in and exhale to let it go.
One more time,
Long,
Deep breath in and exhale to let it go.
Take your hands into prayer or in jala mudra,
Heart center.
Aligning your head over your heart and your heart over your pelvis.
May you choose to remain grounded and rooted throughout the rest of your day and into the days ahead.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
