Welcome.
Welcome,
Friends.
This is Padma Gordon.
And today I want to offer you some reflection and a meditation on letting go.
Right now in our world,
We're doing a lot of letting go.
Letting go of so many things,
Maybe people,
Things we were looking forward to.
And it can be really challenging.
So this meditation is offered in service of you finding an easier and perhaps a little bit more graceful way of letting go.
Expanding your capacity to let go and embrace your life.
Embrace your life as it is.
So let's begin.
Let's begin by getting really comfortable.
Just feel your seat settled in to wherever you're sitting.
And let your spine be long and relaxed.
And then take some nice nourishing breaths.
Nourishing breaths.
And breathing is a great way to practice letting go.
Receiving the inhale and letting go on your exhale.
Letting go.
And you might notice that your body wants to soften as you let go.
Breath by breath,
You are inviting this gentle process of letting go.
Allowing your body to release and relax,
To settle down.
Offering all of your attention to yourself right now.
This is your time,
My friends.
This is your time.
Sacred time for you.
To be with yourself and to be with our beautiful community of meditators.
Let go.
Let go of how you thought your life should be.
Let go of the story of who you thought you were.
Let go of the little ways you try to control your world and the people around you.
Let go.
Even though it may be scary.
Let go of being the one to save your partner,
Husband,
Wife,
Brother,
Sister,
Child,
Or friend from their own darkness.
Let go.
And allow life to be just as it is.
Let go of the ways you hold yourself back from being fully alive.
From letting your heart soften and very gently break open,
Wide open.
Let go and breathe into the empty spaces.
Let go and feel the unmet pain and bliss that is there for you to feel.
It's yours,
Only yours to feel,
Sweet friend.
Let go and trust that this breath is guiding you home.
Let go and surrender to the great mystery of being alive.
Let go and surrender to love,
To light,
To the divine spark that lives in you.
Yes,
Let go a little more still.
Let go in the places that you didn't even know you were holding.
Let go.
Recognize who you are.
Let go and feel that you are here.
You.
You are here.
You are the dawn.
You are the red,
Orange,
Pink,
And yellow streaks of color in the morning sky.
Let go of the ways you've exiled yourself to those murky waters and dark corners.
Let go.
Let go and allow yourself to stand firmly with both feet.
Let go in the light.
Let go and feel the warmth of the sun.
Feel how it illuminates you.
Let go and know that life has your back.
Let go,
My friend.
Let go and trust.
Trust.
Let go of the tension in your body and the pain you've been holding.
Let go and give yourself permission to soften.
Let go and know you are not separate from the green and yellow glowing in the wind on the tree outside your window.
Let go into love.
Let go and be bathed in the sweet melodies of the flute and the trickle of the stream.
Let go and be radiantly,
Limitlessly alive.
Take your time.
Let go.
Let go and invite yourself to rest deeply.
Let go and realize you are worthy.
You are lovable.
You are alive.
You are alive.
Very gently,
Feeling your hands and your feet.
Take your time,
Arriving back in your space,
Thanking yourself for taking this time.
