Welcome.
My name is Padma Gordon and I wanted to offer you this meditation that I'm calling Clear Your Head because I hear so often about people getting caught in their minds,
Stuck in looping thoughts and there is an option which is to clear your head to fully let go of thoughts that are causing you to feel stressed out or unhappy,
Thoughts that actually really don't serve you in your life.
So I'm going to offer you a meditation right now in service of feeling free,
Calm,
Quiet in service of clearing your head.
I invite you to step away from all of your distractions right now to find a comfortable and quiet place so that you can take some me time,
Time just for yourself,
Time to clear your head,
To weave new neural pathways so that you can clear your head anytime,
Any place.
Finding freedom,
Freedom from your thoughts.
So beginning with a nice full breath and taking another one,
Letting it out with a sigh or sound,
Ah.
And feeling how just by taking some deep,
Deep breaths,
Your body can begin to settle and you can enter into this guided meditation a little bit more deeply.
And perhaps you can begin to sink in and down,
In and down.
Coming down out of your head,
Moving in the direction of your heart.
It's as if there were a gentle staircase and you can open up a trap door in the center of your head and travel down step by step into the realm of your body.
Yes.
As you do,
The thoughts that you may have been holding on to can drift away.
You might even imagine them inside of little dialogue bubbles or little balloons that exit out through the side of your head or through your ears and they float up and up into the sky,
Disappearing into the expanse of big blue sky.
And with every breath,
Your attention can drop deeper and deeper into your body.
Perhaps you can notice that each sensation that happens in your body is happening.
And it's happening in real time.
Whether it's a tingling in your feet or a pulsing or warmth,
Sensations happen in the present and you can root in to the present moment.
That's right.
Taking a deep breath in,
Exhaling and rooting down and down and down into your body.
And if any thoughts arise,
You can gently invite them to let go because the more you drop down into the body,
The easier it is to allow the mind to empty and your head can clear.
Imagining that the inside of your head just below your skull was filled with light,
A beautiful luminosity – maybe it's like billowy clouds or maybe it's cold and light.
It doesn't matter.
You can trust your experience,
Trusting your experience and letting go.
Letting go into the pauses into the gentle sound of a flute.
And if any thoughts cross your mind,
You can take a big breath and as you exhale,
You can blow them away,
Just like soap bubbles on the wind.
Sensing the quiet space inside your body and how good it can feel to clear your head.
How exquisitely calming and peaceful it can be to relax.
Your body softens.
Tensions melt away just like an ice cube in a bowl of hot water,
Melting and melting.
That's right.
So anytime you listen to this guided meditation,
Everything that's been said and heard goes deeper and you can trust that it is getting easier and easier to clear your head just by closing the eyes,
Taking some breaths,
Dropping into your body and letting your head fill with light,
With lots of light.
Feeling your head,
Even as my voice fades away into the music,
Your head is clear,
Your body is calm and your heart is open.
Au revoir
