Somatic Nervous System Healing For Women — The First Return

Wat je zal leren
You know yourself well. You understand your patterns, and somehow you still can't access yourself — not because you haven't tried hard enough, but because most approaches work at the level of the mind, not the nervous system. The First Return is a 7-day somatic audio journey designed to change that. Each day brings one short guided practice rooted in mind-body coaching and Somatic Experiencing principles, guiding you through a complete arc of nervous system restoration: from landing in your body, to learning its language, to remembering the self that was always there. What makes this course different is its foundation — the body as a living ecosystem, not a machine to optimise but an intelligent, self-restoring system that simply needs the right conditions to return to balance. Each day adds one layer to that ecosystem: ground, atmosphere, sensing, flow, tending, rest, and return. This course is for the woman who feels disconnected from her body despite years of inner work, who is navigating a life transition — motherhood, career change, relationship shift, or spiritual awakening — who is exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix, and who is done with shallow solutions and ready to work at the level where change actually happens. This is not a quick fix, a performance, or a set of techniques to master. It is an invitation to return to the body you've been living alongside but not fully inside. By Day 7 you won't be a different woman — you'll be more fully the one you already are. Created by Sarah de Visser, somatic coach, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and textile innovation advisor with a rare dual lens: the science of what touches your body from the outside, and the intelligence of your nervous system within it.
Sarah de Visser is a somatic coach and SE-practitioner in training with a background spanning textile innovation and the human skin microbiome. This rare combination gives her a distinctive lens: an understanding of what touches the body from the outside, and the intelligence of the nervous system within it. Her work is rooted in the belief that...

Les 1
Land — Finding Your Ground
Your body needs somewhere to land before it can do anything else. In this practice we slow down, feel the weight of the body, and use simple orienting techniques to create a felt sense of ground — the foundation your inner ecosystem grows from.
Les 2
Breathe — Your Body's Atmosphere
Your breath is your body's atmosphere — the invisible environment that touches every cell and carries vital information to your nervous system. Today, we listen to the breath without changing it, then gently deepen it to activate the vagus nerve and signal safety from the inside out.
Les 3
Sensing — Reading Your Body's Signals
An ecosystem is full of signals. So is your body — in sensation, tension, temperature, and the places that ache or ease. Today, we take a slow journey through the body, learning to notice what's there without immediately managing or fixing it.
Les 4
Move — Letting The River Flow
Movement is how your ecosystem clears itself. Not exercise — but the small, instinctive responses your body has been quietly storing. Today we follow impulse rather than instruction, allowing what wants to move to finally move.
Les 5
Listen — Tending Your Inner Garden
Today we go inward. Using a guided garden visualisation, you'll slow down enough to hear what your body is already trying to tell you — not through analysis, but through felt sense. Like a gardener who tends rather than forces, we create the conditions for your inner knowing to emerge.
Les 6
Rest — The Season Your Body Needs
Every ecosystem requires a winter — a period of genuine, unhurried rest where nothing is required. Today, we practice exactly that. Not rest as a reward, but rest as the essential condition that makes everything else possible.
Les 7
Return — The Ecosystem Restored
The final practice weaves everything together — ground, breath, sensation, movement, listening, and rest — into one complete return. This is not an ending. It is the moment you discover you know the way back, and that you always did.
