I invite you to imagine something positive,
A pleasant memory or an upcoming event you know you will enjoy.
You will experience the power of the mind and the energy of the mind.

Bring up all the details of it and how good it feels.
Take in the sounds and sights and smells of what makes it special,
The words that are spoken,
The feelings that are evoked.

Now notice the happiness and excitement in your body.
How does it feel?
Where do you feel it?
Now I invite you to tune into a negative memory or a worry.
Choose something that's easily manageable,
Like something mildly annoying or stressful.
You will experience the power of the mind and the energy of the mind.
Notice how easy it is to bring up a challenging feeling.
Where in your body do you feel discomfort or tension right now?
For most of us it takes very little effort to call up stressful states.
Finally I'd like you to imagine something soothing,
A place in nature,
A memory of how loved ones rallied around you,
The soft touch of a beloved pet and their soothing energy.
You will experience the power of the mind and the energy of the mind.
