This is the fifth session in our series of yoga nidra.
Using it as a relaxation practice.
Just one thing to remember that Choose a position where you can be without much movement for next 40 to 45 minutes.
So today's session will be 40 to 45 minutes.
And Not wearing very tight cloths.
Keep your cloths loose so that you can feel more more sensations are available.
So,
You can objectively Take a step back from them.
And now theme of the practice.
Every day we are having a particular theme of the practice as Yoga Nidra is not simply a relaxation practice.
It is also a tool to plant a thought on the deeper layers of mind.
Anything we are struggling with,
We can Put it there.
In these series of sessions,
I have chosen different Sankalpas and these are chosen based on wisdom outlook or more you can say thoughtful outlook towards life coming from yogic tradition.
Today's session will be focusing on the forbearance.
There is a story about not a story you can say I see.
Simile or example to explain from where most of our trouble comes in life comes from Buddhist Buddha's life.
Buddha says,
Most of our trouble comes from our reactions to the incidents in the life.
For this there is an example given that Let's say a arrow is struck in air.
And then this arrow getting struck to the foot.
Is the incident.
There will be a pain sensation,
There will be.
.
.
Some heart there.
The reaction which comes for this.
Fear may be the arrow was poisonous or maybe what will happen after this.
Oh,
I got struck.
This kind of reaction,
This kind of mental reaction of fear and all This is what creates the most of our problems.
As suffering.
Suffering or you can say trouble,
Mental.
Anguish which creates.
In this first pain part,
Sensation part,
That arrow getting struck.
We can't control.
There are many things happen in the life,
Many things will come in the life.
Idea is how we react to it,
How we handle it,
Do we keep the keep an incident as an incident or we make it a mountain out of it.
A sensation is just a sensation.
Incident in the life is just an incident.
That's it.
We have certain tools to deal with it.
And then we can deal with it if we can.
As best we can do it as best we can.
Use those tools to counter this situation we can do.
Otherwise it is just Just getting a mental anguish about it,
Anxiety about it,
Getting like I could have done this,
This could have happened,
Regretting,
Feeling guilty or anything like this or blaming others.
All these things are just a mental noise.
Which we don't need.
So this Today's yoga nidra will be focusing on forbearance.
We will create different opposite sensations which are not particularly pleasant.
And then try to maintain that calmness and that calmness will take with us in the life.
OK.
Let's begin.
Now prepare for the practice.
Coming into a comfortable lying down position of your choice.
Find the most comfortable lying down position for yourself.
As you feel ready,
Take a deep breath here.

Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Inhale,
Feel as if your body is expanding.
Like a balloon.
While exhaling.
