Extended Chest-Abdominal movement and Breath Awareness In this session, we will once again focus on the practice of chest-abdominal movement and breath awareness, but this time we will extend the duration of the practice even further. By deepening our focus on this, we can cultivate a greater sense of relaxation, presence, and connection to our bodies and minds. This practice will continue to help us develop our ability to observe our thoughts and emotions without becoming attached to them, and approach them with greater compassion and kindness.

Namaste.

As always,

Let's begin in a nice comfortable lying down position.

Now gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Feel all the cares,

All the worries flow out of you.

Become aware of your breath now,

Just feel the flow of your breath in and out of your body,

Not controlling or regulating the breath,

Just observing the natural flow of breath,

There is no effort,

Maintain the awareness of your breath,

Now become aware of your belly and its movement along with your breath,

Just noticing the expansion and contraction of belly along with your breath,

Now shift your focus on your chest and its movement along with your breath,

The chest is rising and falling slightly with every breath,

Try to notice this,

Continue observing the movement of the chest along with your breath,

Now with feeling,

Mentally say to yourself three times,

I am at ease,

I am completely relaxed,

Come back to the breath,

Notice your body and the surface beneath it,

Remember your surroundings,

The place you are lying down,

Being ready to come out of the practice,

Slowly become aware of the body internally,

And gently move your fingers,

Move your toes,

Feet side to side,

Move your head side to side,

If you feel like,

Give your body a good stretch,

Now without any hurry,

Whenever you are sure that you are wide awake,

Sit up slowly and open your eyes,

Namaste.

Very good series- the voice is calm and smooth, the tempo is slow and no music and no background noise- it helps me to relax and each one is a bit difficult than the previous one to stay awake.
